As our international footprint grows, we are strengthening our finance team to support global operations with accuracy, integrity, and insight.</p> <p>We’re seeking a <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Financial Controller</strong> </span>to lead accounting operations for <strong>Envoy Global’s SSW entities</strong> across the <strong>UK, Hong Kong, India, and Germany</strong>. This role is ideally suited to a hands‑on finance leader with strong statutory accounting experience, international exposure, and a passion for building high‑performing teams.</p> <hr> <h2><strong>The Role</strong></h2> <p>The Financial Controller will be responsible for the end‑to‑end accounting, reporting, and compliance activities for the SSW entities, with primary ownership of the UK entity. You will manage a UK‑based accounting team, coordinate with international third‑party providers, and partner closely with U.S.‑based Corporate Accounting and FP&amp;A teams.</p> <p>This is a key leadership position with responsibility for statutory reporting, audits, tax compliance, cash forecasting, systems improvement, and continuous process optimisation.</p> <hr> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Lead and develop the SSW accounting team (5 team members), covering financial accounting, statutory reporting, AP/AR, billing, collections, and treasury</li> <li>Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in line with <strong>UK statutory requirements</strong></li> <li>Manage accounting operations for the UK (largest entity using <strong>Sage 50</strong>) and coordinate with external accounting firms for Hong Kong, India, Germany, and France</li> <li>Review and oversee work prepared by external providers to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency across entities</li> <li>Partner with the U.S. Corporate Controller and FP&amp;A teams to analyse financial performance, explain variances against budget and forecast, and support planning activities</li> <li>Lead UK statutory audits and tax compliance (including coordination with auditors and tax advisors); oversee audit and tax processes for other international entities</li> <li>Support the implementation of a new global billing system (planned for March 2026), ensuring appropriate invoice creation, revenue recognition, VAT treatment, AR processes, and process improvements</li> <li>Develop, maintain, and enhance accounting policies, internal controls, and financial systems to ensure strong governance and financial integrity</li> <li>Identify and improve manual or inefficient processes to increase accuracy, efficiency, and scalability</li> <li>Ensure the timely preparation of cash flow forecasts to support business performance and financial planning</li> </ul> <hr> <h2><strong>Skills, Experience &amp; Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Proven experience managing month‑end close and statutory financial reporting, with exposure to AR/AP, cash management, budgeting, and tax</li> <li><strong>Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) – required</strong></li> <li>Background in public practice (audit) with subsequent in‑house accounting leadership experience strongly preferred</li> <li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial systems expertise</li> <li>Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking capabilities</li> <li>Hands‑on leadership style, comfortable with technical accounting details and journal entries</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly</li> <li>Highly collaborative and service‑oriented approach; able to build relationships across Finance, HR, Legal, and commercial teams</li> <li>Supportive people manager focused on coaching, development, and team growth</li> <li><strong>Right to work in the United Kingdom</strong></li> </ul> <hr> <h2><strong>Nice to Have</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Experience in a multinational or multi‑entity accounting environment</li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>Sage 50</strong></li> <li>Experience supporting finance system implementations or process transformation initiatives</li> </ul> </div> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Annual Salary Range: £100,000- £125,000</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>This role is a Hybrid role and will require onsite days a few days a month.&nbsp;</em></p> <p><em>In return, you will work for a supportive, employee-focused organization that encourages staff to achieve a work-life balance, teamwork, and communication on a global scale with other offices.</em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>#LI-HYBRID</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
