<p><strong>Power Project Development Manager (Energy & Infrastructure)</strong></p>
<p><em>Full-Time or Contract</em></p>
<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a Project Development Manager to lead the origination and development of large-scale energy and infrastructure projects across the US. This role is responsible for advancing projects from greenfield identification through early-stage development and into NTP readiness, with a focus on integrating power generation (solar, wind, BESS, natural gas) and large load infrastructure (e.g., data centers).</p>
<p>The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of power markets, transmission systems, and land development, with the ability to identify and mature high-value opportunities in competitive ISOs/RTOs.</p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p><strong>Project Origination & Strategy</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Identify and evaluate greenfield development opportunities using transmission analytics, market data, and land constraints</li>
<li>Review and interpret transmission planning documents (e.g., IRPs, transmission expansion plans, interconnection queues, congestion studies) to validate project viability</li>
<li>Develop and execute market entry and siting strategies across multiple regions</li>
<li>Build pipelines of utility-scale and behind-the-meter opportunities, including co-located generation + load</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Project Development Execution</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead projects from site control through permitting, interconnection, and commercial structuring</li>
<li>Oversee:</li>
<ul>
<li>Land acquisition and lease negotiations</li>
<li>Environmental and permitting processes</li>
<li>Interconnection applications and queue strategy</li>
<li>Early-stage engineering and site layout optimization</li>
</ul>
<li>Coordinate internal and external stakeholders including consultants, legal, land agents, and engineering teams</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Commercial & Technical Integration</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support structuring of off take strategies (PPA, tolling, merchant, or hybrid models)</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineering teams on generation + load integration (e.g., co-located data centers, hybrid plants)</li>
<li>Evaluate project economics including LCOE, capacity value, and transmission costs</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Stakeholder Management</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Interface with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, regulators, landowners, and local jurisdictions</li>
<li>Support negotiations with:</li>
<ul>
<li>Utilities and transmission providers</li>
<li>Large energy users (including data center customers)</li>
<li>Joint venture or capital partners</li>
</ul>
</ul>
<p><strong>Pipeline Management</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain development budgets, schedules, and risk registers</li>
<li>Track project milestones and advance projects toward NTP readiness</li>
<li>Provide regular reporting to executive leadership</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5–10+ years of experience in energy or infrastructure project development</li>
<li>Proven track record advancing projects through early- to mid-stage development</li>
<li>Experience in any of the following:</li>
<ul>
<li>Utility-scale solar, wind, or BESS</li>
<li>Natural gas generation (CCGT, peaker, or CHP)</li>
<li>Data center or large-load infrastructure development</li>
</ul>
<li>Experience developing projects in WECC, SPP, or ERCOT strongly preferred</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Technical & Market Knowledge</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong understanding of:</li>
<ul>
<li>Transmission systems and interconnection processes</li>
<li>Power markets and congestion dynamics</li>
<li>Site selection constraints (land, environmental, transmission access)</li>
</ul>
<li>Demonstrated experience reviewing:</li>
<ul>
<li>Transmission expansion plans</li>
<li>Interconnection queue data</li>
<li>Utility IRPs and market studies</li>
</ul>
</ul>
<p><strong>Commercial & Execution Skills</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience negotiating:</li>
<ul>
<li>Land agreements (leases, options, easements)</li>
<li>Commercial agreements (PPAs, site agreements, JV structures)</li>
</ul>
<li>Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel under tight timelines</li>
<li>Strong financial and analytical skills</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with co-located generation and large load (e.g., data centers)</li>
<li>Familiarity with hybrid project configurations (solar + storage, gas + storage, etc.)</li>
<li>Background in transmission-driven development strategy</li>
<li>Existing relationships with utilities, ISOs, and key stakeholders in target markets</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, JD) is a plus</li>
