</span>This role will serve as a strategic legal advisor on complex workforce matters, data compliance issues, and other legal representation matters, supporting our mission-driven organization in maintaining the highest standards of legal and ethical compliance, across our global organization.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; color: rgb(35, 111, 161);"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Assist General Counsel in leading efforts to provide core legal services to ADF and its subsidiary entities.</span></li> <li style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Provide strategic legal counsel on all aspects of the employment lifecycle, including compliance with global, state, and federal laws and regulations; conduct internal investigations; draft and negotiate employment-related agreements and policies; advise on compensation practices; and provide relevant legal support to HR, leaders, and other stakeholders.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></span></li> <li style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Manage litigation and disputes directly or indirectly involving ADF corporate entities or officers as parties, including employment-related matters, working with outside counsel, as appropriate.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></span></li> <li style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Advise on data privacy, protection, and security matters to ensure global compliance.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></span></li> <li style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Proactively protect ADF corporate entities from legal and non-legal threats.</span></li> <li style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, Finance, Development, and program teams.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></span></li> <li style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Provide training to team members in relevant areas.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></span></li> <li style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Interact with outside counsel, as necessary.</span></li> <li style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Stay current on legal developments affecting the ministry and communicate impacts to stakeholders.</span></li> <li style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Handle special projects assigned by the General Counsel.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; color: rgb(35, 111, 161);"><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">J.D., active license in at least one US state bar, and capable of meeting admission requirements in relevant jurisdiction within one year</span></li> <li style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">10+ years of relevant experience</span></li> <li style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Ability to travel overnight and international travel, as needed</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;
