By leveraging advanced data analytics and a customer-centric digital infrastructure, the organization delivers transparent and accessible financial solutions to millions of users across Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia.</p> <h3>What You’ll Do</h3> <ul> <li>Design, build, and evolve horizontally scalable microservices using Clojure and hexagonal architecture</li> <li>Develop event-driven systems leveraging Apache Kafka and asynchronous communication patterns</li> <li>Build resilient, fault-tolerant distributed systems in cloud-native environments</li> <li>Work with modern immutable data stores such as Datomic and DynamoDB</li> <li>Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using TDD/BDD methodologies and CI/CD practices</li> <li>Operate within AWS and Kubernetes environments while embracing a strong DevOps culture</li> <li>Utilize REPL-Driven Development to support fast feedback loops and iterative engineering practices</li> <li>Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and continuous platform evolution initiatives</li> <li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in highly technical, low-bureaucracy environments</li> </ul> <h3>What You Bring</h3> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in backend software engineering</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Clojure or strong exposure to functional programming languages such as Elixir, Scala, Haskell, F#, Lisp, or similar</li> <li>Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures</li> <li>Solid understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous communication patterns</li> <li>Familiarity with immutability, persistent data structures, and functional design principles</li> <li>Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines</li> <li>Ability to work effectively within agile, cross-functional teams</li> <li>Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ownership mindset</li> </ul> <h3>Nice to have</h3> <ul> <li>Experience with ClojureScript (CLJS)</li> <li>Knowledge of React, React Native, or TypeScript for full-stack contributions</li> <li>Experience within banking, payments, Open Finance, or core banking platforms</li> <li>Familiarity with Datomic, DynamoDB, or immutable database technologies</li> <li>Experience with Terraform, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices</li> <li>Background in observability, monitoring, and reliability engineering</li> </ul> <h3>English level</h3> <p>Advanced or fluent English communication skills</p> <h3>Legal &amp; Hiring Information</h3> <ul> <li>Exadel is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusion across minority, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, and more</li> <li>Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions</li> <li>Please note: this job description is not exhaustive.
