The customer develops secure digital banking platforms and financial solutions to serve a diverse global client base.</p> <h3>What You’ll Do</h3> <ul> <li>Design and implement prioritized backend features using best software engineering practices and consistent functional and technical validations throughout the development lifecycle</li> <li>Deliver scalable, flexible, and resilient solutions aligned with modern architectural principles</li> <li>Apply and advocate for architectural patterns such as event-driven microservices</li> <li>Participate actively in technical discussions and contribute to the evolution of the product’s technical architecture</li> <li>Support product discussions by providing technical input to guide architecture-related decisions</li> <li>Integrate internal and external services using RESTful APIs, asynchronous messaging, and event hubs</li> <li>Develop and maintain cloud-native microservices using Java and containerized environments</li> <li>Ensure high application reliability through observability, monitoring, and testing best practices</li> <li>Contribute to CI/CD processes and continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering organization</li> </ul> <h3>What You Bring</h3> <ul> <li>4–5 years of experience in backend development using Java (8–11)</li> <li>Strong experience developing and deploying microservices in public cloud environments, preferably AWS</li> <li>Solid understanding of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL</li> <li>Experience with non-relational databases such as DynamoDB and MongoDB</li> <li>Hands-on experience with messaging and event streaming systems including Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, and SNS</li> <li>Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization with Docker, and orchestration with Kubernetes</li> <li>Familiarity with observability best practices including structured logging, metrics, and health checks using tools such as DataDog</li> <li>Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies including JUnit, integration testing, and contract testing with Postman/Newman</li> <li>Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools</li> <li>Strong understanding of software engineering best practices including Design Patterns, SOLID principles, Clean Code, and 12-Factor App methodology</li> </ul> <h3>Nice to have</h3> <ul> <li>Experience with serverless services such as AWS Lambda</li> <li>Exposure to multi-cloud environments including Azure and GCP</li> </ul> <h3>English level</h3> <p>Intermediate</p> <h3>Legal &amp; Hiring Information</h3> <ul> <li>Exadel is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusion across minority, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, and more</li> <li>Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions</li> <li>Please note: this job description is not exhaustive.
