Our Construction Safety Professionals partner directly with General Contractors to implement effective safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a proactive, site-wide safety culture. This role requires strong field presence, leadership capability, and the ability to collaborate across multiple trades and stakeholders</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Serve as a safety resource to the General Contractor, subcontractors, and project team</li> <li>Mentor, coach, and train field personnel on OSHA standards, company policies, and industry best practices</li> <li>Promote and sustain a positive safety culture through active engagement with workers and site leadership</li> <li>Participate in and support daily, weekly, and monthly safety meetings as required by the project</li> <li>Conduct routine site safety inspections, audits, and observations; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions</li> <li>Lead and support safety processes including pre-task planning (PTP), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), permit programs, and incident investigations</li> <li>Facilitate new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and task-specific training</li> <li>Monitor compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards and site-specific safety requirements</li> <li>Prepare and maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and metrics for project leadership</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements &amp; Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably supporting a General Contractor</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926)</li> <li>Experience working in complex, fast-paced construction environments (data center or mission critical experience may be added as needed)</li> <li>Working knowledge of high-risk activities (e.g., electrical safety, fall protection, confined space, crane operations, etc.)</li> <li>Proven ability to influence and collaborate with field teams, supervisors, and management</li> <li>Strong hazard recognition, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Effective verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or safety management systems</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education &amp; Certifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (required, within the last 5 years)</li> <li>CHST Certification Required</li> <li>24-Hour Hazwoper</li> <li>First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification (required)</li> <li>Degree in Occupational Health &amp; Safety or related field preferred</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Requirements &amp; Work Conditions:</strong></p> <p>This position requires active field presence on construction sites. Duties include standing, walking, climbing ladders, working at heights, entering confined spaces, and navigating uneven terrain throughout the workday. The role may involve lifting up to 30 lbs. and working in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, or precipitation.
