Our commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and advancement (IDEA) is central to our culture, ensuring every team member feels valued and empowered to make a difference.</p> <hr> <p data-start="370" data-end="739">&nbsp;</p></div><p>&nbsp;</p> <div> <p>We’re looking for an <strong>Acute Intake Manager</strong> who wants their work to mean something—someone who brings care, accountability, and purpose to how referrals become treatments and how systems become services.</p> <hr> <h2>Why This Role Matters</h2> <p>The Acute Intake Manager plays a critical role in delivering a patient‑first infusion experience by ensuring referrals move efficiently, accurately, and compassionately from intake to care delivery.</p> <p>In this role, you’ll contribute to work that:</p> <ul> <li>Ensures patients experience timely, coordinated access to infusion therapy</li> <li>Supports clinicians and referral partners through clarity, responsiveness, and reliability</li> <li>Strengthens the foundation of care delivery through strong reimbursement, documentation, and intake workflows</li> </ul> <p>Every referral represents a real person navigating a complex healthcare moment—and your leadership helps that journey begin with confidence and trust.</p> <hr> <h2>What You’ll Do</h2> <p><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead and oversee the front‑end referral and admissions process, including benefit verification, prior authorizations, and re‑authorizations, to ensure timely pull‑through to care</li> <li>Manage and develop the Acute Intake / Referral Management team, setting clear metrics, goals, and performance expectations</li> <li>Establish and maintain intake workflows, communication protocols, and documentation standards that support high‑quality, compliant patient records</li> <li>Collaborate closely with Pharmacy Services, Nursing Services, Sales, and executive leadership to ensure seamless end‑to‑end referral outcomes</li> <li>Serve as an escalation point for intake and referral issues, driving resolution with urgency and accountability</li> <li>Monitor SLAs, referral volume trends, and payer performance, proactively adjusting staffing and resources to support growth</li> <li>Support accreditation, quality improvement initiatives, audits, and HIPAA‑compliant practices</li> <li>Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead thoughtful change that benefits patients, providers, and teammates</li> </ul> <hr> <h2>What You’ll Bring</h2> <p>You may be a great fit if you bring:</p> <ul> <li>A deep commitment to the human impact of timely, accurate infusion access</li> <li>5+ years of experience managing acute infusion or specialty therapy referrals, care coordination, or prescription services</li> <li>3–5 years of reimbursement, payer, or authorization experience across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans</li> <li>Experience leading and developing teams, setting metrics, and supporting performance improvement</li> <li>Strong knowledge of infusion therapies, intake qualifications, ICD‑10, and referral documentation requirements</li> <li>Clear, confident communication skills with patients, providers, payers, and internal partners</li> <li>Comfort balancing operational detail with strategic thinking in a growing environment</li> <li>High ownership, follow‑through, and accountability in everything you do</li> </ul> <p>Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience). Advanced computer proficiency required (Microsoft Office, Excel, CareTend experience a plus).
