Any user can ask any question across billions of records via a ChatGPT-like interface, understand “why” metrics change via AI insights that surface hidden key drivers and trends, and leverage agentic flows to perform complex multipart analysis easily — in a self-service manner. Unlike traditional BI tools, Tellius excels at ad hoc analysis, deep dives, and business-friendly advanced analytics.</p> <p></p></div><h3><strong>Role Overview</strong></h3> <p>As a DevOps Engineer, you will support the reliability, scalability, and deployment of Tellius platforms. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, QA, and customer-facing teams and requires strong communication skills to clearly explain technical issues and updates.</p> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable application releases.</li> <li>Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and IaC best practices across AWS, GCP, or Azure.</li> <li>Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot applications on AWS/GCP (preferred).</li> <li>Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.</li> <li>Monitor system health, performance, and availability using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.</li> <li>Automate manual and repetitive tasks using Shell or Python.</li> <li>Contribute to application codebases and collaborate with developers on microservices and API integrations.</li> <li>Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure zero- or minimal-downtime deployments.</li> <li>Assist in implementing security controls, backup strategies, and disaster recovery processes.</li> <li>Participate in technical and <strong>customer-facing discussions</strong>, including deployment updates, issue triage, and clarifications related to the environment.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What Success Looks Like in This Role</strong></h3> <ul> <li>You can independently manage and support CI/CD pipelines with minimal supervision.</li> <li>You respond to production or customer-reported issues calmly and communicate updates clearly and effectively.</li> <li>You understand system architecture well enough to explain incidents to customers and internal stakeholders.</li> <li>You proactively identify opportunities to automate processes and improve system reliability.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>2+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or a similar engineering role.</li> <li>Experience working across multiple cloud providers (AWS and GCP/Azure)</li> <li>Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes operations.</li> <li>Experience using Terraform or similar IaC tools.</li> <li>Proficiency in Shell or Python scripting.</li> <li>Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Go, or Java).</li> <li>Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals, and cloud security basics.</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, including experience writing incident reports or post-mortems, and comfortable presenting in customer calls or internal reviews.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Good to Have</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Exposure to GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or FluxCD.</li> <li>Experience with Helm for Kubernetes package management.</li> <li>Exposure to service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).</li> <li>Familiarity with incident management tools (PagerDuty, Opsgenie, Jira).</li> <li>Basic understanding of SLAs, SLOs, and production reliability concepts.</li> <li>Prior experience working with customer-facing engineering or support teams.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Growth Opportunities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Hands-on mentorship and learning opportunities across DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering.</li> <li>Clear career progression paths toward Senior DevOps Engineer or SRE roles.</li> </ul> <p>Tellius offers competitive compensation packages commensurate with experience, along with full benefits, continuous learning opportunities, and clear career growth paths.</p>
