<p>Tellius enables organizations to get faster insights and <em data-stringify-type="italic">act</em> upon cloud-scale enterprise data using AI-powered automation. Any user can ask any question across billions of records via a ChatGPT-like interface, understand “why” metrics change via AI insights that surface hidden key drivers and trends, and leverage agentic flows to perform complex multipart analysis easily — in a self-service manner. Unlike traditional BI tools, Tellius excels at ad hoc analysis, deep dives, and business-friendly advanced analytics.</p>
<p></p></div><p>We’re looking for a <strong>Staff Software Engineer</strong> to join our AI team. This is a high-impact, IC-focused role for someone who wants to build scalable AI systems that power real-world decision-making.</p>
<h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Architect and implement core infrastructure for AI agents and orchestration (e.g., LangChain, custom frameworks)</li>
<li>Build and optimize backend services using Python and SQL to support AI workloads</li>
<li>Engage with design partners and early customers to validate architecture, use cases, and product direction</li>
<li>Develop robust data pipelines and work with large, complex datasets</li>
<li>Contribute to agentic application design, grounding LLMs in structured data and business logic</li>
<li>Collaborate with AI researchers, product managers, and design to ship production-ready features</li>
<li>Collaborate with and mentor junior engineers</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Must-Have Experience:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>2-6 years of professional software engineering experience</li>
<li>Deep knowledge of <strong>AI engineering</strong> and <strong>agent frameworks</strong> (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar)</li>
<li>Strong backend skills with <strong>Python</strong>, <strong>SQL</strong>, and database design</li>
<li>Experience working with data systems and building scalable infrastructure</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Nice-to-Haves:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with <strong>Spark</strong>, <strong>Scala</strong>, or distributed compute frameworks</li>
<li>Exposure to AI applications in B2B or enterprise environments</li>
<li>Previous experience at an early-stage startup</li>
<li>Familiarity with data engineering, ETL pipelines, or analytics workflows<br><br></li>

<p><strong data-start="462" data-end="478">Compensation</strong><br data-start="478" data-end="481">The expected salary range for this role is <strong data-start="524" data-end="560">$190,000 – $230,000 USD per year</strong>.<br data-start="561" data-end="564">This range is determined based on factors such as the candidate’s <strong data-start="630" data-end="666">experience, skills, and location</strong>, and may vary depending on qualifications. Equity and benefits are also part of the total compensation package.</p>
