The Laboratory Supervisor will work closely with and be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team responsible for quality assurance, client services, data management and clinical research.</p> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: </strong></p> <p>The main duties and responsibilities of the Laboratory Supervisor include the following, but not limited to:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance</li> <li>Schedule, assign, review, and evaluate the work of laboratory personnel</li> <li>Answer questions and resolve problems raised regarding service or test results</li> <li>Review quality control of the various procedures performed</li> <li>Direct evaluation and review of new procedures and recommending modifications</li> <li>Evaluate workload, space, equipment and staffing</li> <li>Interview, select, orient, train and evaluate new employees</li> <li>Plan, develop, recommend, initiate and implement approved changes in policies, procedures, and methods</li> <li>Implement operating procedures to comply with State and Federal laws, regulations and standards</li> <li>Investigate questionable test results</li> <li>Develop procedures, norms, and standards for new laboratory staff</li> <li>Evaluate the level of quality of service and current procedures and methods</li> <li>Advise staff in difficult tests or special situations</li> <li>Assess the value of new procedures, products, and equipment for utilization by the laboratory</li> <li>Prepare and justify equipment and personnel budgetary requests</li> <li>Develop, participate in, and attend educational and training programs</li> <li>Monitor and provide feedback to staff on performance of service standards</li> <li>Provide support and assistance utilize management principles and teamwork to promote achievement of common goals and to resolve problems</li> <li>Perform any other site/lab specific duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3>Who You Are:</h3> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
