They are also responsible for keeping the lab in a clean and orderly condition. Specimen Processor I are knowledgeable in sample integrity issues and are a resource to others in the lab. They maintain flexibility regarding work schedules including daily assignments, holiday schedules, and days of the week as determined by business need. This is an onsite position based out of our South San Francisco office with a schedule of Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00AM-5:30PM.  Responsibilities:  <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Accessioning clinical specimens upon receipt and entering data into LIS system. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Specimen verification, labeling, tracking, and all related clerical functions. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Capable of identifying specimen processing problems that may adversely affect the reporting of test results and immediately notifying the supervisor. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Documenting all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Following the laboratory's established policies and procedures. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Understanding of compliance regulations related to test ordering. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Compliant with company policies, procedures, safety requirements and regulations. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Contributing to the safety of the laboratory operations by complying with established safety procedures and making recommendations for improvement. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Engaging in training and competency assessments.  </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Attending and participating in department meetings. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Participating in activities associated with regulatory compliance and inspections. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Assisting in continuous improvement activities/projects.  </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Assisting in research and validation activities.  </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Helping perform weekly, monthly, and other periodic room and equipment maintenance procedures in accordance with standard operating procedures. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Helping track and stock laboratory supplies. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">General clean-up tasks, e.g. break down and trash shipping boxes/packaging, disinfect lab benches and surfaces, and put away supplies. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Working cooperatively in a team environment and supporting senior laboratory and management staff. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Working cross-functionally with Customer Care regarding specimen issues and Accessioning requests. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Complete other related administrative duties, including printing, copying, filing, faxing, and quality control of spreadsheet </li> </ul> <h3>Who You Are:</h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">0-2 years of accessioning experience and/or in a lab setting </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">High school diploma or equivalent required </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Bachelor’s degree preferred. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Good verbal and written communication skills. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">The ability to navigate efficiently through, or have familiarity with, various laboratory information systems (LIS) and have proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint). </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Good judgment and problem-solving skills </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Excellent teamwork and collaborations skills </li> <li>Ability to work independently </li> </ul> #LI-Onsite  <div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"> The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience, skillset, geographic location, industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.</div><div class="title">Pay range</div><div class="pay-range">$27—$32 USD</div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion">  <h3>What We Can Offer You</h3> Veracyte is a growing company that offers significant career opportunities if you are curious, driven, patient-oriented and aspire to help us build a great company.
