About the Role

<h2 class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job">Overview</h2> <p data-start="438" data-end="808">The Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) is responsible for the overall leadership and daily operations of the Otterbein ministry, including the Health Center, Assisted Living, and campus-based care programs. Regulatory Management</h3> <ul data-start="1509" data-end="2280"> <li data-start="1509" data-end="1652">Ensure the ministry maintains all required licensure, certifications, and regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local requirements</li> <li data-start="1653" data-end="1732">Maintain current knowledge of healthcare regulations and industry standards</li> <li data-start="1733" data-end="1816">Build and sustain positive relationships with regulatory agencies and surveyors</li> <li data-start="1817" data-end="1901">Partner with local healthcare systems to support continuity of care and services</li> <li data-start="1902" data-end="1995">Oversee the ongoing needs of the Health Center, Assisted Living, and campus care programs</li> <li data-start="1996" data-end="2102">Maintain visibility and accessibility to residents and families to support engagement and satisfaction</li> <li data-start="2103" data-end="2187">Ensure corporate compliance standards are implemented, monitored, and maintained</li> <li data-start="2188" data-end="2280">Maintain awareness of Medicare, reimbursement structures, and their impact on operations</li> </ul> <h3 data-start="2287" data-end="2332">Financial &amp; Operational Management</h3> <ul data-start="2333" data-end="2883"> <li data-start="2333" data-end="2453">Collaborate with the Executive Director and Home Office leadership to develop and manage the annual operating budget</li> <li data-start="2454" data-end="2556">Monitor financial performance and implement adjustments to achieve operational and financial goals</li> <li data-start="2557" data-end="2676">Manage key performance indicators including census, payer mix, case mix index (CMI), labor management, and expenses</li> <li data-start="2677" data-end="2788">Partner with clinical, admissions, and support teams to support occupancy growth and appropriate admissions</li> <li data-start="2789" data-end="2883">Ensure adherence to financial and operational policies established by Otterbein leadership</li> </ul> <h3 data-start="2890" data-end="2932">Leadership &amp; General Management</h3> <ul data-start="2933" data-end="3834"> <li data-start="2933" data-end="3035">Provide leadership and oversight for daily operations to ensure high-quality services and outcomes</li> <li data-start="3036" data-end="3140">Hire, coach, mentor, and develop leadership partners, fostering a positive and collaborative culture</li> <li data-start="3141" data-end="3225">Maintain a strong, communicative work environment that reflects Otterbein values</li> <li data-start="3226" data-end="3304">Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and the community</li> <li data-start="3305" data-end="3387">Maintain an active and visible presence within the community and with partners</li> <li data-start="3388" data-end="3480">Meet regularly with the Executive Director and provide operational updates and reporting</li> <li data-start="3481" data-end="3537">Support occupancy and census development initiatives</li> <li data-start="3538" data-end="3608">Oversee the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and ministry assets</li> <li data-start="3609" data-end="3711">Represent Otterbein professionally in community relations, outreach, and partnership opportunities</li> <li data-start="3712" data-end="3834">Promote resident satisfaction, quality outcomes, and overall ministry excellence</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul data-start="167" data-end="866"> <li data-start="167" data-end="283">Current <strong data-start="177" data-end="230">Michigan Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license</strong> in good standing (issued by the State of Michigan)</li> <li data-start="284" data-end="423">Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Long-Term Care Administration, Business, Gerontology, or related field (Master’s preferred)</li> <li data-start="424" data-end="501">Minimum of three (3) years of experience in long-term care administration</li> <li data-start="502" data-end="641">Demonstrated knowledge of <strong data-start="530" data-end="560">Michigan state regulations</strong>, federal CMS requirements, and survey processes for skilled nursing facilities</li> <li data-start="642" data-end="706">Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills</li> <li data-start="707" data-end="796">Proven ability to manage operations, financial performance, and regulatory compliance</li> <li data-start="797" data-end="866">Commitment to person-centered care and honoring resident autonomy</li> </ul> <p><strong>Apply today to join the Otterbein Jackson as the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.</strong></p> </div> </div> </div>
