About the Role

<div class="ui-form-item ui-form-item-horizontal" data-direction="horizontal"> <div class="ui-form-field lifesuite__rte--display"> <div class="ui-form-field lifesuite__rte--display"> <p>SMX is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter Exercise Planners to support SOCPAC exercise planning and execution. This Exercise Planner will support SOCPAC’s requirement to participate in JCS and Service exercises in support of USINDOPACOM TCP and USSOCOM Commander’s Training and Education Guidance requirements. Will integrate multiple capabilities and synchronize employment and experimentation of new and innovative capabilities. The candidate must be able to work with multiple stakeholders and across multiple echelons. Must be a team player and mission results oriented.</p> <p><strong>This position requires a DoD Top Secret/SCI which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.</strong></p> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</span></strong></p> <ul> <li>Plan, coordinate and execute SOCPAC and component participation in assigned USINDOPACOM JCS and Service exercises.</li> <li>Coordinate and manage exercise development in conjunction with USINDOPACOM and component planner and participants. Develop training objectives that meet SOCPAC JMETL requirements.</li> <li>Ensure SOCPAC and component exercises inform the Defense Readiness Reporting System and fully incorporate the Joint Lessons Learned system.</li> <li>Enhance the command’s capability to train and prepare for a broad spectrum of threats from real and/or simulated adversaries.</li> <li>Develop training objectives in conjunction with exercise participants and SOCPAC staff stakeholders.</li> <li>Assist in coordination with exercise participants and supporters from other DoD and non-DoD organizations.</li> <li>Draft and develop realistic threat scenarios, incorporate best-practice inputs from DoD and other agencies.</li> <li>Coordinate exercise criteria to test and stress the command’s training objectives.</li> <li>Consolidate and draft AAR related to training objectives, corrections, and COA development.</li> <li>Up to 2 weeks of CONUS and OCONUS travel per month may be required.</li> </ul> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Required Skills &amp; Experience</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}">&nbsp;</span></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in any field.</li> <li>Eight (8) years of experience as DoD exercise planner, with at least two (2) years of experience in INDOPACOM AOR.</li> <li>Eight (8) years of experience in multi-disciplined special operations at the operational and tactical levels supporting SOF to include:</li> <li>Use of training software and other IT systems associated with exercise planning.</li> <li>Five (5) years of experience of Joint Exercise Lifecycle (JELC) planning process.</li> <li>DoD Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI access.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Skills &amp; Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years SOF experience in the INDOPACOM AOR</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communications skills</li> <li>Highly proficient in MS suite of apps (Word, PPT, Exell, Teams)</li> </ul> <p><strong><span class="sc-givSgj ezOnOa">Application Deadline: June 15, 2026</span></strong></p> <p><span data-contrast="auto">#LI-AP1&nbsp; #CJPOST</span></p> </div> </div> </div><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>&nbsp;</p> <hr> <p><span style="font-size: 16px;">The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
