<div class="ui-form-item ui-form-item-horizontal" data-direction="horizontal"> <div class="ui-form-field lifesuite__rte--display"> <div class="ui-form-field lifesuite__rte--display"> <div class="m-b break-word ng-scope"> <div class="ng-scope"> <div> <div class="m-b break-word ng-scope"> <div class="ng-scope"> <div> <div class="m-b break-word ng-scope"> <div class="ng-scope"> <div>SMX is seeking a Senior Production &amp; Quality Engineer for the M&amp;QE Division, in NAVAIR’s Systems Acquisition Group.&nbsp;The candidate will provide research analysis and technical domain engineering support in M&amp;QE for a classified program at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. &nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Location: On-site at NAS Patuxent River, MD and 30% travel to Industry sites.<strong>&nbsp;This work is not eligible for teleworking.</strong></div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide support for Production &amp; Quality of an early development classified program. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Examine suppliers and perform facilities evaluations assessing contractor design, development and manufacturing/quality planning activities, ensuring that production and producibility considerations are being appropriately integrated into the systems engineering process.</li> <li>Conduct quality research and data analysis to provide support in the establishment of M&amp;QE requirements and management of M&amp;QE efforts through all acquisition phases, including capacity analysis to examine for scalability.</li> <li>Evaluate design producibility, manufacturing planning and proposed or actual production/quality processes considering program affordability needs and with respect to established schedules and production plans.</li> <li>Prepare technical risk assessments for decision meetings and related briefings.</li> <li>Support the M&amp;QE Division and IPT in planning and leading design, manufacturing and quality risk reduction efforts, producibility assessments and Production Readiness Reviews (PRRs).</li> <li>Provide technical support for producibility and manufacturing discussions in design reviews and program/technical meetings and provide design and process oriented technical inputs.</li> <li>Identify the causes of potential or actual manufacturing, producibility, or quality problems and recommend solutions to M&amp;QE and IPT management via briefing or written correspondence.</li> <li>Support the M&amp;QE lead during the conduct of Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs), Quality System Evaluations (QSEs), Engineering Investigations (EIs), and other M&amp;QE reviews.
