<p>SMX is seeking a Network Administrator to support our customer on-site at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.</p> <p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Network operations and maintenance</li> <li>Access control &amp; security</li> <li>Monitoring and incident response</li> <li>Compliance and documentation</li> <li>System maintenance, updates, and patching</li> <li>Backup and recovery</li> <li>Planning and engineering</li> <li>Infrastructure support</li> <li>Additional duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Clearance Required: Top Secret</li> <li>Security+ or comparable certification for DoD 8140 compliance</li> <li>3+ years of related networking experience</li> <li>Proficiency in network security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and wireless controllers.</li> <li>Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Cisco Prime).</li> <li>Knowledge of virtualization technologies</li> <li>Strong understanding of networking protocols</li> <li>Knowledge of ISE integration with third-party security tools for enhanced threat detection and response.</li> <li>Knowledge of fabric technologies, including VXLAN, LISP, and TrustSec, for secure and efficient data transport.</li> <li>Knowledge of Cisco ISE for network access control and policy enforcement.</li> <li>Experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise networks using Cisco SDA and ISE.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Skills &amp; Experience:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise&nbsp;(Preferable, not required)</li> <li>Additional certifications in cybersecurity or cloud technologies (e.g., CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Application Deadline</strong>: 6/15/2026</p> <p>#cjpost #LI-Onsite</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>&nbsp;</p> <hr> <p><span style="font-size: 16px;">The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
