Our team is committed to expanding access to actionable insights that support more informed cancer care.</div> We are seeking a Medical Director, Specialty Oncology to lead the clinical and medical strategy supporting CareDx’s expanding oncology portfolio, with a focus on solid tumors, particularly head and neck malignancies, and their intersection with transplant, immune monitoring, and precision diagnostics. This role will play a critical part in shaping clinical development, driving translational research initiatives, and positioning CareDx as a leader in precision medicine and biomarker-driven care. Key Responsibilities <ul> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Lead the design and execution of clinical studies, including investigator-initiated trials, registries, and translational research collaborations.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Develop evidence-generation strategies supporting CLIA validation, clinical adoption, and reimbursement pathways.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in head & neck oncology and academic centers.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Represent CareDx at major oncology conferences and scientific forums.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Lead development and execution of publication strategies, including abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, commercial, regulatory, and data science teams.</li> </ul> Qualifications <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">MD; ideally with fellowship training in Medical or Surgical Oncology.  </li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Subspecialty expertise or strong clinical focus in Head & Neck Oncology.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Proven experience in clinical trials, publications, and scientific presentations.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Expertise in precision medicine, molecular diagnostics, or biomarker-driven oncology care.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience in academic or research-driven environments preferred.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Industry experience in diagnostics, therapeutics, or medical affairs is a plus.</li> </ul> Leadership Profile <ul> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Recognized or emerging thought leader in head & neck oncology.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong academic rigor and intellectual curiosity.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Collaborative mindset with external engagement orientation.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ability to translate complex science into clinical and business applications.</li> </ul> Impact <ul> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Shape CareDx’s oncology strategy in precision diagnostics and solid tumors.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Build partnerships with leading cancer centers and investigators.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Drive innovation in personalized oncology care.</li> </ul> Additional Details:  Every individual at CareDx has a direct impact on our collective mission to improve the lives of organ transplant patients worldwide. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience within the job, the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
