Payroll Manager at Trivelta

<p>We are seeking a <strong>Payroll Manager </strong>to own and scale our global payroll function across a&nbsp;multi-entity, multi-country organization. This role will be responsible for end-to-end payroll&nbsp;operations while serving as the system owner for Deel, which will function as our primary HRIS,&nbsp;payroll, and EOR platform. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, systems-minded, and experienced operating payroll in a&nbsp;global environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant payroll while&nbsp;building scalable processes, strengthening internal controls, and supporting multi-entity financial&nbsp;reporting.</p> <p>This is a <strong>Hybrid</strong> position in our <strong>Atlanta OR Barcelona</strong> office.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p><strong>Global Payroll Operations:</strong><br>● Own end-to-end payroll across U.S. and international entities (W-2 employees, EOR&nbsp;populations, and contractors)<br>● Operate Deel as the system of record for payroll and employee data<br>● Manage payroll calendars, pay cycles, and country-specific requirements across multiple&nbsp;jurisdictions<br>● Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, bonuses, commissions, and off-cycle&nbsp;payments</p> <p><strong>Payroll Accounting &amp; Close:</strong><br>● Prepare and review payroll journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations across&nbsp;multiple entities<br>● Partner with Accounting to support month-end close and consolidated financial reporting<br>● Ensure proper GL mapping and alignment between payroll outputs and financial&nbsp;statements</p> <p><strong>Compliance &amp; Controls:</strong><br>● Ensure compliance with U.S. and international payroll regulations, tax filings, and&nbsp;statutory reporting<br>● Maintain strong internal controls, including segregation of duties and audit-ready&nbsp;processes<br>● Partner with Director of Tax and external advisors on payroll-related filings and audits</p> <p><strong>Systems &amp; Process Optimization:</strong><br>● Serve as system owner for Deel, including configuration, maintenance, and optimization<br>● Drive automation and scalability of payroll processes across entities, currencies, and&nbsp;geographies<br>● Build and document standardized payroll workflows and procedures</p> <p><strong>Cross-Functional Partnership:</strong><br>● Partner with HR on onboarding, terminations, compensation changes, and employee lifecycle events<br>● Serve as primary point of contact for payroll-related employee and executive inquiries<br>● Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Operations on global workforce and compliance&nbsp;matters</p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <p><strong>Required:</strong><br>● 6–10+ years of payroll experience, including multi-entity and multi-country payroll<br>● Experience managing payroll in Deel as a primary HRIS and global payroll platform,&nbsp;including U.S. W-2 payroll and international populations<br>● Experience operating a unified global payroll platform across multiple entities and&nbsp;jurisdictions, including ownership of payroll accounting and system integrations<br>● Strong working knowledge of NetSuite, including payroll-related GL impacts<br>● Experience managing EOR, contractor, and employee payroll models in a global&nbsp;environment<br>● High attention to detail with a strong internal-controls mindset<br>● Experience operating in a fast-paced, scaling organization</p> <p><strong>Preferred:</strong><br>● Experience supporting multi-subsidiary, multi-currency environments<br>● Prior ownership of payroll system implementations or migrations<br>● Strong cross-functional communication skills and comfort working onsite with leadership</p> <p><strong>What Success Looks Like:</strong><br>● Payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant across all entities and jurisdictions<br>● Deel is fully optimized as a unified HRIS and payroll system<br>● Payroll accounting is clean, reconciled, and aligned with financial reporting in NetSuite<br>● Processes and controls scale effectively with company growth and international&nbsp;expansion<br>● Employees have a seamless payroll experience while Finance maintains strong&nbsp;oversight and controls</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
