<h3><strong>Position Summary</strong></h3>
<p>We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety leader to oversee EHS initiatives across multiple regions and project sites within construction and MEP operations. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing safety performance, and fostering a culture focused on risk reduction and continuous improvement.</p>
<p>This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement and requires up to 60% nationwide travel.</p>

<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<h4><strong>Leadership & Culture</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Provide direction and mentorship to EHS Managers, Coordinators, and field personnel across multiple regions</li>
<li>Drive a proactive safety culture focused on accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement</li>
<li>Serve as the primary EHS resource for regional leadership and project teams</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Program Management</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures</li>
<li>Ensure consistent application of safety plans, hazard assessments, and risk mitigation strategies across all projects</li>
<li>Oversee safety planning for MEP and industrial construction activities</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Regulatory Compliance</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and client-specific requirements</li>
<li>Conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews; ensure timely resolution of findings</li>
<li>Manage regulatory documentation, including OSHA logs, environmental reporting, and compliance records</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Incident Management</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses</li>
<li>Implement corrective actions and ensure lessons learned are communicated across teams</li>
<li>Track safety metrics and KPIs to drive performance improvements</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Training & Development</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Oversee safety training programs to ensure workforce competency and compliance</li>
<li>Mentor EHS staff and support their professional development</li>
<li>Promote certification attainment and continuing education</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Contractor Oversight</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Evaluate subcontractor safety performance and ensure compliance with company standards</li>
<li>Review safety plans, training records, and prequalification documentation</li>
<li>Enforce accountability across multi-employer job sites</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Reporting & Strategy</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Prepare performance reports, dashboards, and metrics for executive leadership</li>
<li>Support strategic planning and budgeting efforts related to EHS initiatives</li>
<li>Serve as a liaison with clients, regulators, and external auditors</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Risk Management</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Guide risk assessments, hazard analyses, and planning for high-risk activities</li>
<li>Ensure safety considerations are integrated into project design, planning, and commissioning</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field</li>
<li>10+ years of progressive EHS experience in construction, industrial, or MEP environments</li>
<li>5+ years of experience leading EHS teams across multiple projects or regions</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and DOT regulations</li>
<li>Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards</li>
<li>Proven success in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation</li>
<li>Familiarity with contractor management and multi-employer job site oversight</li>
<li>Experience with safety management systems, reporting tools, and KPI tracking</li>
<li>Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Preferred Credentials</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Professional certifications such as CSP, CHST, ASP, CSHO, OHST, or STS</li>
<li>OSHA 510 and OSHA 501 certifications</li>
<li>OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (required)</li>
<li>First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain)</li>
<li>Experience driving company-wide safety culture initiatives</li>
</ul>
