This position is responsible for assisting with bid coordination, document management, material takeoffs, and proposal preparation while partnering closely with estimators and operational leadership. This role is well-suited for someone interested in developing a long-term career within mechanical construction estimating in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. The compensation is $18-20 per hour. <hr> <h2>Primary Responsibilities</h2> <h3>Bid Coordination & Tracking</h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Identify and monitor potential project opportunities through bid platforms and invitations</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Review incoming bid packages to determine alignment with company scope</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Set up and maintain organized electronic project files</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Enter project details into internal bid tracking tools and keep records current</li> </ul> <h3>Estimating Assistance & Quantities</h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Complete quantity takeoffs for ductwork, piping, and HVAC equipment</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Analyze plans and specifications to understand project requirements</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Support pricing efforts by coordinating with vendors and subcontractors</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Input collected data into estimating spreadsheets and tools</li> </ul> <h3>Proposal Preparation</h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Help compile and format bid submissions and proposal documents</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Coordinate internal feedback and revisions prior to submission</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Submit completed bids through required systems or platforms</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Maintain records of all bid communications and documentation</li> </ul> <h3>Bid Follow-Up & Reporting</h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Track project outcomes (awarded, declined, or pending)</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Assist with follow-up communication on submitted bids</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Keep estimating logs and tracking tools accurate and up to date</li> </ul> <h3>Project Transition Support</h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Organize documentation for successful bids</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Assist in transferring project information to the project management team</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Help ensure a smooth transition from estimating to execution</li> </ul> <hr> <h2>Basic Qualifications</h2> Required: <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Willingness or ability to interpret construction drawings</li> </ul> Preferred: <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">0–2 years of experience in construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related field</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Familiarity with HVAC or mechanical systems</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Experience using Bluebeam or similar software</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Exposure to bid platforms such as BuildingConnected, PlanHub, or Procore</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;
