EnSafe emphasizes empowering staff to practice our profession passionately and without limitations.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br><strong><em>In this role, you will:</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Support and manage hydrology and hydraulics projects from planning through completion for public and private sector clients.</li> <li>Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for flood studies, drainage improvements, stormwater management systems, watershed evaluations, and related civil infrastructure projects.</li> <li>Develop and review HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (1D/2D) models and interpret results to support engineering recommendations and design decisions.</li> <li>Prepare technical reports, calculations, exhibits, and engineering documentation that meet client, regulatory, and industry standards.</li> <li>Coordinate with project managers, engineers, scientists, and other technical professionals to deliver multidisciplinary projects.</li> <li>Assist with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination to support successful project delivery.</li> <li>Communicate technical findings and recommendations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies in a clear and concise manner.</li> <li>Support permitting efforts and coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies as required.</li> <li>Contribute to proposal development, client relationship management, and the pursuit of new project opportunities.</li> <li>Uphold EnSafe's safety culture and commitment that "safety is part of everything we do."</li> </ul> <p><strong>SKILLS/EXPERIENCE<br><em>Minimum Skills and Requirements:</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related ABET-accredited engineering discipline.</li> <li>Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.</li> <li>3-5 years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, water resources engineering, or a related field.</li> <li>Hands-on experience performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (1D/2D).</li> <li>Experience with floodplain analysis, stormwater management, drainage design, watershed studies, and/or flood mitigation projects.</li> <li>Working knowledge of GIS applications and related water resources modeling tools.</li> <li>Experience preparing technical reports, engineering calculations, and client-ready deliverables.</li> <li>Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex problems and develop practical, data-driven solutions.</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.</li> <li>Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.</li> <li>Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li> <li>A collaborative, team-oriented approach and willingness to share knowledge and mentor less experienced staff.</li> <li>Self-motivated with a desire to learn, grow professionally, and take ownership of project deliverables.</li> <li>Strong client service mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships and contribute to project success.</li> <li>Willingness to travel occasionally for project site visits, client meetings, and field activities.</li> </ul> <p style="text-align: left;"><strong><em>Preferred Skills</em>:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.</li> <li>Experience with FEMA floodplain studies, CLOMR/LOMR processes, and regulatory permitting.</li> <li>Familiarity with SWMM, StormCAD, HydroCAD, ArcGIS Pro, or similar modeling and design platforms.</li> <li>Experience working in a consulting environment serving public and private sector clients.</li> <li>Experience leading project tasks, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, or mentoring junior staff.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Why Join EnSafe?</u></strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Employee-Owned Advantage</strong></span><br><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">EnSafe is 100% employee-owned, with an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) since 1997.
