This position is required to teach assigned classes as scheduled or as assigned, and perform administrative functions related to teaching.</p> <p><strong>Key Competencies</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision,&nbsp;</li> <li>Interact professionally with other employees, students, customers, and vendors.&nbsp;</li> <li>Adhere to all company policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li> <li>Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.&nbsp;</li> <li>Work independently while understanding the necessity of communicating and collaborating with other employees, groups, and organizations to achieve success.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Teach classes on a regularly scheduled basis as assigned and create a welcoming<br>environment for students that is conducive to learning.</li> <li>Assist Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education, or Campus Executive Director in developing curriculum, preparing course materials, class scheduling, and maintaining tools and equipment used by students.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain a neat and orderly classroom or lab.&nbsp;</li> <li>Establish and maintain academic and attendance records for student files.&nbsp;</li> <li>Submit attendance, grades, student evaluations, and all other reports/documentation to&nbsp;</li> <li>Supervisor or appropriate personnel as required by established procedures.&nbsp;</li> <li>Notify Supervisor of any current or potential issues which warrant immediate attention.&nbsp;</li> <li>Utilize proven retention techniques approved by the school to assist students.</li> <li>Complete performance-based teacher education modules as assigned by Supervisor, based on outcomes of classroom observations, instructor evaluations, and student completed surveys.&nbsp;</li> <li>Attend and/or conduct in-service training, faculty meetings or other mandatory meetings.</li> <li>Assist with the department equipment and supplies inventory and submit replenishment&nbsp;requests to Supervisor or appropriate personnel.</li> <li>Alert Supervisor to student absences, especially on first, third and fifth absence&nbsp;occurrences.</li> <li>Perform and complete other tasks that may be assigned by the Supervisor.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED.</li> <li>OSHA 10-hour safety certification within 6 months of hire date.&nbsp;</li> <li>Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) refrigerant certification within 6 months of hire date.</li> <li>Must demonstrate up-to-date knowledge and continue study of the subject matter.</li> <li>Must have a minimum of 3 years&nbsp;related practical work experience in the subject matter.</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven, compliance-oriented educational<br>environment.</li> <li>Detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized, and have the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.</li> <li>Demonstrate a high level of integrity, strong work ethic, and professionalism.</li> <li>Persuasive and effective verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service in an educational setting.&nbsp;</li> <li>Highly motivated and goal-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Must be able to work independently and as collaborative team member and have exceptional interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Excellent computer skills are required with proficiency in MS Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams</li> <li><span class="TextRun SCXW216136165 BCX8" lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW216136165 BCX8">Exhibits</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW216136165 BCX8"> a positive, team-oriented attitude by </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW216136165 BCX8">remaining</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW216136165 BCX8"> flexible and available to work outside of scheduled hours when needed, as directed by the Supervisor.</span></span><span class="EOP SCXW216136165 BCX8" data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Previous classroom/laboratory experience preferred.</li> <li>CampusNexus&nbsp;experience</li> <li>North American Technician Excellence certification&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We Offer </strong></p> <p>The salary for this position <strong>up to $30/hour</strong>, based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
