<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Position Overview:</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Solid Power, Inc. is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in Allen-Bradley, Siemens and Mitsubishi automation platforms, and SCADA systems such as Ignition or Wonderware.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">This role works cross-functionally with Engineering and Production teams to deliver robust and efficient control solutions for manufacturing and process automation for the EV cell pilot line. This is a hands-on, high impact role that reports to the Maintenance Engineering Manager.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Job Duties:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Design, program, and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs for automated systems on the battery manufacturing line.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Develop and maintain SCADA applications for real-time monitoring and control.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Lead control system architecture design, including I/O selection, network configuration, and safety integration.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Perform system integration, commissioning, and on-site support for automation projects.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineers to ensure seamless system operation.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Support continuous improvement initiatives.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Prepare comprehensive documentation including design specifications, technical manuals, and user guides for control systems. Generate reports to communicate project status, test results, and recommendations to stakeholders.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Qualifications/Requirements:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or related field.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Minimum of 10 years of experience in controls engineering, automation, or related field within industrial manufacturing.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens required; Mitsubishi preferred.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with software development tools/languages (Visual Basic, C/C++, Python, Ignition) for control system integration.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with VFD’s, servo drives, and encoders.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Control panel building and design experience.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ability to independently troubleshoot equipment for improvement for quality and delivery.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Networking (Ethernet IP, Modbus) experience.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Familiar with NEC, OSHA, IEEE, and other standards.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">AutoCad, SQL, MS application experience preferred.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ability to maintain a good working relationship with the customers, vendors, and team members and to use good judgment in recognizing scope of authority.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with motion control systems, robotics, and mechatronics.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Able to work daily on-site at our Louisville, CO facility.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;
