<div class="content-intro"><p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p></div><p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">As an&nbsp;<strong>Equipment Design Engineer</strong>, you will be responsible for developing fully automated production tooling as well as making continuous improvements to our pre-existing equipment for the manufacturing of electrical systems within vehicles and other electrical platforms. This role will involve rapid, efficient responses to real-time issues, and then driving permanent resolutions and improvements in collaboration with our process and operations staff, as well as driving continuous improvement of our preventative maintenance programs.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Design, develop, test, and launch production equipment within our US-based manufacturing facilities.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Create technical documentation, including but not limited to: </span> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Detailed part/assembly drawings</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Product specifications</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">BOMs</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Technical reports/analysis.</span></li> </ul> </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Drive research to identify optimal materials and technologies to ensure a cost-effective and user-friendly solution.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Support troubleshooting and RCA for equipment-related issues during design, installation, and operation.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Generate cost estimates for equipment, labor, and materials within an equipment design.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Systematically apply knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software components to identify and solve problems.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Work closely with Equipment Engineers, Process Engineers, and Operators to meet equipment requirements and improve existing systems.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Work hands-on with roll-to-roll web handling and processing equipment, including rollers, drives, edge guides, brakes, and steering mechanisms.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
