About the Role

<div class="content-intro">   </div>Manufacturing Equipment Specialist As a Manufacturing Equipment Specialist, you will be tasked with supporting CelLink’s fleet of automated production equipment. This will involve rapid, efficient responses to real-time issues as well as the careful development of long-term solutions in collaboration with our engineering, maintenance, and operations teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Fabricate, modify, and assemble mechanical and electrical components and assemblies.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assembly, testing, and installation of custom manufacturing tools and equipment. <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Precise, detail-oriented mechanical assembly according to engineering drawings.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Electrical component and cabinet wiring according to engineering drawings.</li> </ul> </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Create and modify mechanical CAD models and drawings.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Perform machining and welding work as needed.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Systematically apply knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software components to identify problems and develop robust solutions.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Work closely with equipment engineers, process engineers, and production operators to ensure production equipment operates reliably and efficiently.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assist in the construction of new equipment and the development of improvements to existing equipment.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Work hands-on with roll-to-roll web handling and processing equipment, including rollers, drives, edge guides, brakes, and steering mechanisms.</li> </ul> Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Experience/Education <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">An associate's or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology or similar is preferred.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">2+ years of hands-on experience as a machinist, welder, mechanic, equipment engineer, or similar experience is desired.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with the design, assembly, and/or maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment is strongly preferred.</li> </ul> Knowledge/Skills/Abilities <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Independent problem solver with a desire to learn new skills and develop new technology.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Able to adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced start-up setting.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Solid background in using 3D computer-aided design software (SolidWorks strongly preferred).</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Can read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Able to create and modify mechanical drawings, models, and assemblies.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Can create and modify technical documents such as work instructions.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Maintains a clean and orderly workspace.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Able to use hand and machine tools safely.</li> </ul> A qualified candidate will have a subset of these skills <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Familiar with materials and construction methods typical of manufacturing equipment.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Some knowledge of PLC systems and device configuration software.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Familiar with statistical process control concepts.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Knowledge of electrical schematics</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with electrical cabinet wiring</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with assembly and/or maintenance of roll-to-roll manufacturing equipment.</li> </ul>   Physical Demands and Work Environment  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.  Working Conditions/Hours Salaried-Non-exempt (OT eligible) This position pays a salary between $65-75K and is also eligible for OT for hours worked in excess of limits defined by Texas state overtime laws.    Physical Demands – Office and Manufacturing Environment   While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and pull/push; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
