About the Role

<p><strong><u>SEO &amp; Website Manager</u></strong></p> <p><strong><u>Role Overview</u></strong></p> <p>We are looking for an SEO &amp; Website Manager to manage the performance, governance, and evolution of our website as a primary growth and demand engine. This role sits at the intersection of content, SEO, user experience, and analytics—ensuring our site is discoverable, high-performing, and continuously optimized for both human users and AI-driven search.</p> <p>You will act as the central point of accountability for the website, managing day-to-day updates while leading ongoing optimization initiatives that improve engagement, and conversion.&nbsp; This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a high-trust, expert-led environment.</p> <p><em>This role requires a minimum of 2 days in the Boston, MA office</em></p> <p><em>$88,000 - $110,000 + bonus</em></p> <p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p> <ol> <li><strong> SEO &amp; Discoverability</strong></li> </ol> <ul> <li>Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy aligned with business and growth objectives across technical, on-page, and content optimization</li> <li>Coordinate keyword research and content optimization across product, persona, and industry pages</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Optimize content and site structure for emerging AI‑driven discovery (e.g., entity‑based search, generative results, and expert attribution)</li> <li>Optimize for authority, trust, and expert credibility—not just volume</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic trends, and search performance opportunities</li> <li>Collaborate with the content marketing team to ensure all content is optimized for search</li> <li>Conduct site audits, identify and resolve technical SEO issues related to crawlability, indexing, site speed, structured data, and internal linking</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ol> <li><strong> Conversion &amp; User Experience Optimization</strong></li> </ol> <ul> <li>Optimize landing pages, forms, and CTAs to improve conversion rates</li> <li>Design and run A/B tests, iterating based on performance data</li> <li>Analyze and improve user journeys to reduce friction and increase engagement</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ol> <li><strong> Web Projects &amp; Continuous Improvement</strong></li> </ol> <ul> <li>Draft, optimize, and structure website pages in collaboration with content and subject‑matter experts.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Lead site enhancements such as:</li> <ul> <li>Optimizing for AI search and discoverability</li> <li>Improving navigation</li> <li>Implementing and managing content ungating strategies</li> <li>Adding and maintaining dynamic content experiences</li> </ul> <li>Manage multiple website initiatives simultaneously, owning execution from concept through launch</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ol> <li><strong> Analytics &amp; Reporting</strong></li> </ol> <ul> <li>Own web analytics, including GA4, dashboards, and core KPIs</li> <li>Translate performance data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations</li> <li>Regularly report website performance and optimization opportunities to stakeholders</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ol> <li><strong> Content Management &amp; Governance</strong></li> </ol> <ul> <li>Design and maintain scalable content and information architecture across products, personas, industries, and capabilities</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Publish, update, and retire website content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and consistency</li> <li>Maintain clear content governance standards, including ownership, review cycles, and lifecycle management</li> <li>Ensure site content aligns with brand, messaging, and compliance requirements</li> <li>Ensure website content and structure support SEO best practices</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ol> <li><strong> Cross-Functional Coordination</strong></li> </ol> <ul> <li>Serve as the central point of contact for all website marketing-related requests</li> <li>Prioritize and manage requests from marketing, product, events, and content teams</li> <li>Align stakeholders on timelines, tradeoffs, and impact</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Qualifications &amp; Experience</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience managing SEO strategy &amp; websites with a strong focus on demand gen optimization</li> <li>Hands-on experience with GA4, SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush), and CMS platforms</li> <li>Strong understanding of modern SEO, including AI-driven search and content discovery</li> <li>Proven ability to optimize conversion funnels and user experience</li> <li>Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution</li> <li>Strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Comfortable presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>What Success Looks Like</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Increased organic visibility and high-intent traffic</li> <li>Improved conversion rates and user engagement across key pages</li> <li>Clear, actionable reporting that informs business decisions</li> <li>A well-governed, high-performing website that scales with the business</li> </ul> <ul> <li>The website’s primary role is to drive qualified engagement with IANS research, advisory, and events—converting senior security leaders, not casual traffic</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Clear alignment between website structure, product strategy, and how CISOs evaluate IANS.</li> </ul>
