You’ll translate customer and business needs into <strong>clear workflows, intuitive interactions, scalable patterns, and polished product experiences</strong>.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">This is a hands-on consulting role grounded in strong product design fundamentals. You’ll work primarily within scaled delivery pods while using <strong>AI-assisted tools</strong> to accelerate exploration and prototyping, strengthen delivery context, and reduce the distance between design and working software.</p> <h3>Requirements:</h3> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Significant experience <strong>designing and shipping digital products</strong> within cross-functional product or delivery teams.</li> <li>Strong foundations in <strong>product design, interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, accessibility, and user-centered research</strong>.</li> <li>A portfolio demonstrating <strong>complete product workflows and shipped outcomes</strong>, rather than only isolated screens or concepts.</li> <li>Strong proficiency with <strong>Figma, component-based design, and modern design systems</strong>.</li> <li>Experience translating product goals, user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints into clear and buildable experience direction.</li> <li>Experience designing <strong>end-to-end journeys and workflows</strong> across multiple roles, states, devices, and edge cases.</li> <li>Strong experience designing <strong>responsive web and/or mobile products</strong>.</li> <li>Ability to create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, detailed interface designs, and clear implementation guidance.</li> <li>Experience defining <strong>responsive behavior, interaction states, content expectations, accessibility requirements, and UX acceptance criteria</strong>.</li> <li>Experience working within established brand and design systems while identifying gaps and creating reusable patterns where appropriate.</li> <li>Strong collaboration with <strong>product managers, engineers, researchers, content designers, and quality specialists</strong> throughout delivery.</li> <li>Experience partnering directly with engineers through <strong>implementation, design QA, release, and iteration</strong>, rather than relying solely on traditional design handoffs.</li> <li>Experience conducting or supporting <strong>user research, usability testing, and concept validation</strong>.</li> <li>Experience using product analytics and user feedback to inform post-release improvements.</li> <li>Fluency with <strong>AI-assisted design, research, or development tools</strong>, or demonstrated experience actively incorporating these tools into product design workflows.</li> <li>Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.</li> <li>Comfortable working directly with clients in complex, evolving, and iterative delivery environments.</li> </ul> <h3>Bonus points:</h3> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Experience using <strong>Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-assisted development environments</strong>.</li> <li>Ability to create <strong>interactive or coded prototypes</strong> when they provide stronger learning or implementation context than static designs.</li> <li>Working knowledge of <strong>HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, or modern frontend frameworks</strong>.</li> <li>Experience structuring design decisions and context so they can be effectively consumed by <strong>engineers and AI coding agents</strong>.</li> <li>Experience evaluating AI-generated interfaces or code for <strong>usability, accessibility, coherence, and design-system alignment</strong>.</li> <li>Experience designing <strong>AI-enabled or data-intensive product experiences</strong>.</li> <li>Experience contributing to or evolving <strong>design systems and reusable component libraries</strong>.</li> <li>Experience helping clients improve their product design practices, systems, or ways of working.</li> </ul> <h3>You’ll Love:</h3> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Designing complete product experiences that move from early ideas through production and continued iteration.</li> <li>Working closely with engineers and product teams to turn design intent into <strong>high-quality working software</strong>.</li> <li>Solving complex workflows while maintaining clarity, usability, accessibility, and strong visual craft.</li> <li>Using <strong>AI-assisted tools</strong> to explore faster, prototype more effectively, and improve the quality of delivery.</li> <li>Working directly with clients as an embedded product partner.</li> <li>Balancing user needs, business priorities, technical constraints, and delivery realities.</li> <li>Contributing reusable patterns, tools, and practices that strengthen both individual products and the broader Modus Experience Design practice.</li> </ul> <p>By joining our team, you’ll be part of a winning squad that plays to each other’s strengths and celebrates every success together.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
