About the Role

<p></p> <div> <p>We are seeking a skilled and motivated&nbsp;<strong>Fabrication Lead</strong> to oversee daily operations within our Fabrication Department. In this role, you will lead a team producing high-quality structural metal components—including frameworks, machinery shells, and concrete construction equipment parts—while ensuring efficiency, safety, and precision.</p> <hr> <h2><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Leadership &amp; Operations</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Plan, assign, and direct daily workflow for the fabrication team</li> <li>Reallocate team members across stations or departments based on production needs</li> <li>Train and mentor employees to ensure performance and skill development</li> <li>Provide input for performance evaluations and address team concerns</li> <li>Promote a safe, productive, and respectful work environment</li> <li>Partner with supervisors and cross-functional teams to resolve production issues</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Production &amp; Fabrication</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Locate, mark, and prepare workpieces for bending and cutting</li> <li>Set up and operate fabrication equipment (brakes, shears, lasers, saws, rollers, punches)</li> <li>Grind, sand, chip, and finish metal to required specifications</li> <li>Inspect workpieces to ensure conformance to quality standards</li> <li>Load, tag, and organize parts for production flow</li> <li>Perform trial runs and adjust machinery to optimize accuracy and efficiency</li> <li>Troubleshoot machining issues and ensure proper machine functionality</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Materials &amp; Systems Management</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Claim and track parts, identify shortages, and resolve inventory discrepancies</li> <li>Use SAP and other manufacturing systems for inventory and production tasks</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and production teams to resolve fabrication challenges</li> <li>Develop specifications from general descriptions and create sketches as needed</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Safety &amp; Equipment Operation</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Safely operate forklifts, hoists, and lift tables</li> <li>Follow all safety protocols and handle equipment with care</li> <li>Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable regulations</li> </ul> <hr> <h2><strong>What You Bring</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Education &amp; Experience</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Associate degree or certification in Metal Fabrication <strong>OR</strong></li> <li>1–2 years of relevant fabrication experience <strong>OR</strong></li> <li>Equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Skills &amp; Abilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Ability to read and interpret instructions, blueprints, and basic technical documents</li> <li>Strong math skills (including measurements and precision instruments)</li> <li>Experience operating fabrication and machining equipment</li> <li>Proficiency with hand tools and air-powered tools</li> <li>Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments</li> <li>Effective communication and teamwork skills</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Technical Skills</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Familiarity with SAP or similar inventory/manufacturing systems</li> <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and order processing systems</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Certifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Ability to obtain forklift certification upon hire</li> </ul> <hr> <h2><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours per shift)</li> <li>Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs</li> <li>Work in a loud manufacturing environment (hearing protection required)</li> <li>Exposure to industrial chemicals and metalworking fluids</li> <li>Requires close vision, depth perception, and attention to detail</li> </ul> </div> <p><strong>Compensation and Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Pay wage: $25/hr + DOE</li> <li>Day Shift (5am-3:30pm)&nbsp;</li> <li>9 paid Holidays</li> <li>Generous Paid Time Off - Accrues at a rate of 4 weeks per year to start</li> <li>Paid Volunteer Time Off</li> <li>Paid Parental Leave</li> <li>Excellent Benefits Package for Full Time Employees that starts the 1<em>st</em>&nbsp;of the month after 30 days of hire date including:</li> <ul> <li>Medical,&nbsp;Dental,&nbsp;Vision, Life Insurance, Disability,&nbsp;Flex Spending, Accidental Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Hospital Indemnity Insurance &amp;
