Senior Accountant at CGS (Computer Generated Solutions)

<p><strong>Salary: <span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">$100K-$115K</span></strong></p> <p><strong>Overview:</strong></p> <p>The Sr. Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger by ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. This role plays a critical part in month-end close processes, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications.</li> <li>Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.</li> <li>Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.</li> <li><span data-teams="true">Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.</span></li> <li><span data-teams="true">Prepare monthly and other ad hoc schedules as needed by the finance team.</span></li> <li>Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.</li> <li>Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and improve reporting accuracy.</li> <li>Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Qualifications and Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.</li> <li>5-7 years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar role.</li> <li>Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.</li> <li>Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Excel.</li> <li>Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Excellent organizational and communication abilities.</li> <li>CPA certification a plus.</li> <li>Experience with ERP systems and automated reconciliation tools.</li> <li>Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
