Senior/Staff Manufacturing Engineer DFM at RoboForce

Our robots are designed to operate in complex, unstructured industrial environments, with a focus on real-world deployment and scalability.</p> <p>We are seeking a<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span><strong>high self-motivated Manufacturing Engineer</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>to focus on defining and optimizing manufacturing processes and advancing equipment development by providing manufacturing insights during product definition for our cutting edge super robot. You will work closely with design, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure manufacturing process and equipment are well defined and products with best-in-class quality, cost, and delivery performance for advanced robotic systems.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Bridge the gap:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>between initial concept and full production by providing design teams with critical insights on manufacturability, assembly, testing, and tooling.</li> <li><strong>Lead the in-house development:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>of innovative and complex prototype manufacturing equipment.</li> <li><strong>Design assembly sequences:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>and establish critical quality parameters to ensure production efficiency.</li> <li><strong>Serve as a key stakeholder:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>in scaling manufacturing lines from concept to high-volume production.</li> <li><strong>Leverage virtualization technologies:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>to accelerate development cycles and mitigate technical risks.</li> <li><strong>Diagnose and resolve:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>complex multi-disciplinary issues across mechanical, electrical, software, and control systems.</li> <li><strong>Provide hands-on technical support:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>and collaborate with external integrators and suppliers as required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Master’s degree/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.</li> <li>5+ years of direct work experience in hardware DFM manufacturing within fast-paced environments; background in prototype and production line design, robotics, or automotive strongly preferred.</li> <li>Proven expertise in mechanical assembly, electrical integration, sealing, torque tools, testing and trouble shooting, automation equipment, control systems, and quality control strategy, .</li> <li>Strong analytical skills and engineering fundamentals in manufacturing</li> <li>Experience with 3D and 2D CAD, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&amp;T), and statistical process control (SPC).</li> <li>Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and hands-on in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously</li> <li>Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin.</li> <li>Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive stock options/equity programs.</li> <li>Health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan.</li> <li>Visa sponsorship and green card support for qualified candidates.</li> <li>Lunches and dinners, a fully stocked kitchen, and regular team-building events.</li> </ul>
