<p><strong>Buckner International:</strong> Camp Buckner<strong><br>Location: </strong>Burnet, TX - Onsite<strong><br>Address: </strong>3835 FM 2342, Burnet, TX 78611<strong><br></strong><strong>Job Schedule: </strong>Occasional</p> <p>Camp Buckner is an interdenominational, recreational, faith-based retreat and conference center that offers services to churches, youth groups, businesses and other various ministries. We strive to bring glory to God in all things and provide a Christ centered atmosphere for each one of our guests. As a <strong>Retreat Staff, </strong>you will play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences for our campers and guests contributing to the overall camp experience, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Greet guests upon arrival and ensure they receive room assignments and have everything they need for the entirety of their stay.</li> <li>Provide continuous support for retreat leaders and guests throughout the entirety of their stay.</li> <li>Break down, clean, and set up meeting facilities for incoming groups, ensuring all spaces are prepared to meet specific guest requirements and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.</li> <li>Lead PRN staff and Summer Staff in hosting duties, including welcoming guests, addressing needs, and ensuring a positive guest experience; facility preparation, such as setting up, breaking down, and cleaning meeting spaces; banquet services, including meal setup and cleanup; and facilitating activities to ensure safety and enjoyment for all participants.</li> <li>Perform basic housekeeping, food service, and maintenance duties as needed and requested by guests to ensure their comfort and enjoyment during their stay.</li> <li>Facilitate challenge course, archery range, or lifeguarding as required for guests, within your level of training.</li> <li>Lead/assist during retreat activities; direct guests to activities throughout the day and participate in the activities as required.</li> <li>Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of meeting facilities on campus. Help ensure equipment/supplies are organized, in good condition, secured, and sufficient.</li> <li>Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of activity areas on campus. Help ensure equipment/supplies are organized, in good condition, secured, and sufficient. Check all activity equipment for safety prior to use as directed.</li> <li>Assist in the Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Kitchen departments as required</li> <li>Set up, monitor, and assist guests with usage of audio/visual equipment</li> <li>Serve and interact with guests during meal times. Assist in the kitchen Banquet Hall as necessary to ensure smooth operation for guests.</li> <li>Encourage guests to evaluate their experience on the camp survey. Collect surveys and return to the supervisor at the end of each retreat.</li> <li>Plan and facilitate group activities as required.</li> <li>Timely meet with supervisor as required for evaluation and accountability.</li> <li>Immediately report any accidents or safety concerns to a supervisor. Consult with supervisor as necessary on needs, issues, and incidents.</li> <li>Respond to emergency situations in a calm, professional, and appropriate manner within the guidelines and policies of the camp. Report emergency situations immediately to a supervisor.</li> <li>Act as a positive role model at all times.</li> <li>Work nights and weekends as required to meet business needs.</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What You’ll Bring to the Team</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) required.</li> <li>Requires a current certification or the willingness to obtain and maintain a Level 1 challenge course certification from an ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology) accredited vendor.</li> <li>Requires a current certification of the willingness to obtain and maintain certifications in Lifeguarding and Waterfront Skills from a Nationally Recognized Certification Program.</li> <li>Requires a current certification or the willingness to obtain and maintain certifications in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers and Responding to Emergencies: First Aid from a Nationally Recognized Certification Program.</li> <li>Requires a current certification or the willingness to obtain and maintain an Archery Instructor Training: Level 1 Certification provided by a certified trainer from USA Archery and the National Field Archery Association.</li> <li>Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English.</li> <li>Requires ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing and speak in front of large groups; excellent public speaking and presentation skills required.</li> <li>Requires ability to establish and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships with staff, vendors, campers, families, church groups, representatives, etc.</li> <li>Requires ability to work under pressure and remain flexible as priorities change.</li> <li>Requires ability to work under minimal supervision while exercising excellent professional judgement.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Requires commitment to Christian principles and teachings both professionally and personally.</li> </ul> <p><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-parastyle="BI_JD_04_Bullet_Indent_Text _1"><em>The above description reflects the details considered necessary to describe the </em></span><em><span data-ccp-parastyle="BI_JD_04_Bullet_Indent_Text _1">essential </span><span data-ccp-parastyle="BI_JD_04_Bullet_Indent_Text _1">functions of the job and should not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be performed in the job.</span></em></span><em><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559685&quot;:720,&quot;335559738&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240,&quot;335559991&quot;:360}">&nbsp;</span></em></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>The same way we treat our employees is how we treat all applicants – with respect.
