<p><strong>Buckner International:</strong> Camp Buckner<strong><br>Location: </strong>Burnet, TX - Onsite<strong><br>Address: </strong>3835 FM2342, Burnet, TX 78611<strong><br></strong><strong>Job Schedule: </strong>Part-Time</p> <p>Camp Buckner is an interdenominational, recreational, faith-based retreat and conference center that serves churches, youth groups, businesses, and other ministries. You will have the opportunity to impact the lives of retreat guests and group leaders.&nbsp;<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">As a <strong>Banquets and Meeting Host</strong> at Camp Buckner, your primary function will be to facilitate smooth,</span>&nbsp;efficient dining experiences for campers and guests by setting up, serving, and cleaning up after meals in the dining hall.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong><br>As a member of our team, you will have an impact on our clients through the accomplishment of the following responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Set up dining areas for meals, including arranging tables, chairs, and table settings according to predetermined layouts and standards.</li> <li>Assist with food service during meals, including distributing food, beverages, and utensils to guests, and ensuring prompt, courteous service.</li> <li>Monitor dining areas to maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout meal times, clearing tables, and cleaning up spills as needed.</li> <li>Assist kitchen staff with meal preparation tasks as directed, such as portioning food, plating dishes, and restocking serving stations.</li> <li>Communicate effectively with campers and guests, responding to inquiries, accommodating special requests, and providing assistance as needed.</li> <li>Collaborate with other staff members to ensure timely, efficient service by coordinating tasks and addressing issues or concerns that arise.</li> <li>Assist in cleaning and sanitizing dining areas after meals, including wiping down tables, sweeping floors, and emptying trash receptacles.</li> <li>Assist in cleaning meeting rooms and other common areas as needed, including mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning windows, cleaning bathrooms, and restocking supplies.</li> <li>Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food, cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, and maintenance of personal hygiene.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You’ll Bring to the Team</strong><br>To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team, we need you to come with the following:</p> <ul> <li>Some high school-level education/coursework required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Must be 16 years of age or older.</li> <li>Requires proficient ability to speak, read, and write English.</li> <li>Requires the ability to understand and carry out detailed oral and written instructions.</li> <li>Requires the ability to speak clearly and make oneself understood effectively in face-to-face interactions; articulate with accuracy when talking on the phone.</li> <li>Requires ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, and speak in front of large groups; excellent public speaking and presentation skills required.</li> <li>Requires the ability to hear and receive verbal instructions, answer phones, and communicate with people in situations with some background noise.</li> <li>Requires the ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people.</li> <li>Requires the ability to walk, stand, and sit, sometimes for prolonged periods of time.</li> <li>Requires the ability to crawl, kneel, climb, bend, turn, twist, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull, and carry or otherwise manipulate objects.</li> <li>Requires sufficient good health to discharge duties properly.
