As a MSP Project Engineer you will join our team and lead the implementation of client-facing technical projects across the New York City area. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced MSP environment, is comfortable working on-site with clients, and has a deep understanding of multi-tenant support, project execution, and modern IT infrastructure.&nbsp; You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and upgrading systems across a wide range of client environments. With a diverse clientele spanning financial services, professional services, as well as other sectors, they are committed to delivering top-notch technology solutions tailored to our clients' unique needs.</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Your work as a MSP Project Engineer has several components:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Function as a hands-on, technical element of client project delivery, including but not limited to: <ul> <li>Client onboardings and offboardings</li> <li>Network installations and migrations</li> <li>Windows server-to-server or server-to-cloud migrations</li> <li>Office builds and moves</li> <li>MDM/MAM + Conditional Access implementation</li> </ul> </li> <li>Collaborate with project managers and account teams to provide regular updates and create and update documentation.</li> <li>Function as an escalation point for resolution of project issues.</li> <li>Travel to client sites across NYC and surrounding area for installations, assessments, and hands-on technical work (estimated 50–75%).</li> <li>Communicate clearly with clients, acting as a technical expert and trusted advisor.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Our ideal MSP Project Engineer has the following qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>3-5+ years IT MSP experience including a minimum of 2+ years of hands-on project engineering experience (mandatory).</li> <li>Strong experience implementing IT infrastructure projects from design through completion.</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, AD, and common MSP toolsets (RMM, PSA).</li> <li>Solid understanding of CCNA-level networking</li> <li>Ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication</li> <li>Strong aptitude for time and note entry within a PSA.</li> <li>Understanding of predictive and hybrid project methodologies, including roles, responsibilities, and work breakdown structure (WBS)</li> <li>Located in or near New York City and able to comfortably travel to client sites as required</li> </ul> <p><u>Preferred requirements:</u></p> <ul> <li>Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, PMI).</li> <li>Specific experience with: Microsoft Azure, 365, and SharePoint</li> <li>Meraki Networking</li> <li>Windows Server</li> <li>Modern security principals – MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, MDM, MAM</li> <li>ConnectWise PSA</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The target salary for this role is $90,000-$100,000 per year and will operate in a hybrid model out of the New York City office.
