CareDx is looking for a Project Management Intern to support a high-impact initiative focused on strengthening project management maturity across CareDx. This internship is designed for current undergraduate students who are interested in project management, biotechnology, and process improvement. The intern will help document and standardize how projects are executed across Lab and Testing Services by capturing current workflows, reviewing project documentation, and contributing to the development of the first edition of the PPMO Handbook and Service Catalog. This work will help establish a reliable “source of truth” for project execution and support audit-ready, predictable outcomes. The intern will have a chance to summarize what they’ve learned and provide recommendations to the leadership team. Success Measures <ul> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Completion of process maps for at least two core workstreams</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Review of project documentation across active initiatives</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Delivery of a leadership-reviewed draft of the PPMO Handbook and Service Catalog</li> </ul> Responsibilities <ul> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Participate in discovery sessions with Lab, Engineering, and Project team members to document workflows</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Review existing project files and assist with identifying documentation gaps</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Regulatory, Quality, and R&D</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Prepare status updates, summaries, and visuals for weekly check-ins with the PPMO Lead</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Attend team meetings, reviews, and stand-ups to observe project standards in action</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Support preparation and delivery of a final “Source of Truth” presentation for leadership</li> </ul> Tools & Skills Exposure <ul> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Process mapping tools (Visio or Lucidchart)</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Microsoft Excel for tracking and analysis</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Requirements and documentation tools (e.g., Jama Connect)</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Professional stakeholder interviewing and presentation skills</li> </ul> Required Qualifications <ul> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Project Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Interest in biotechnology, process improvement, or project management</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ability to manage tasks independently and meet project timelines</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong written and verbal communication skills</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications <ul> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Coursework in Project Management, Business, or Life Sciences</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience within the job, the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
