Field Service Technician - Intermediate - McCully Barracks, Wackernheim, Germany (5598) at SMX

<p>SMX is seeking a <strong>Field Service Technician</strong> to support the U.S. Army Counterintelligence Command’s IT infrastructure by providing hardware maintenance, hardware management, cyber and Tier II service desk support. This is a full-time onsite position.</p> <p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform all hardware maintenance duties and operate automated diagnostics systems.</li> <li>Perform remedial and preventative maintenance per OEM specs, Cybersecurity STIG requirements, or TTM/COR directives.</li> <li>Track and execute warranties for asset maintenance.</li> <li>Perform equipment installation and relocation.</li> <li>Assist/conduct equipment sanitization for turn-in to DRMO.</li> <li>Identify required spare parts and maintain inventory of spares.</li> <li>Fabricate, install, and remove cabling and cabling infrastructure (e.g., raceways, conduit) in line with DoD and Army requirements.</li> <li>Perform hardware installations and basic network administration.</li> <li>Install or troubleshoot Automated Information Systems and IP assets on a network (e.g., configure IPs, troubleshoot connectivity issues).</li> <li>Provide system hardware maintenance and interconnectivity familiarization for personnel after hardware upgrades, integrations, reconfigurations, and layout drawing updates.</li> <li>Attend internal training sessions and meetings.</li> <li>Create/update diagrams for IA, CM, and Government documentation requirements.</li> <li>Maintain change control and associated documentation.</li> <li>Provide Tier II support for desktop imaging, manage Active Directory contents (accounts, groups, etc.), manage Org share contents, distribution lists, and overall Office 365.</li> <li>Provide on-site support for Regional HQ, Field Offices, and staff computers, focusing on maintenance and preparation during duty hours and actively supporting live missions, including computer imaging and licensing.</li> <li>Assess mission requirements for necessary equipment and ensure network functionality.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and maintain network and computer interfaces.</li> <li>Support customer service requests and IT Service delivery within the IT Environment and for mission applications.</li> <li>Coordinate, resolve, and close service requests.</li> <li>Provide weekly customer service updates back to ACI Command HQ.</li> <li>Research, maintain, and apply expertise in emerging technologies and industry developments, trends, and best principles of IT customer support.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills, Experience &amp; Education</strong></p> <ul> <li>Clearance Requirement: Top Secret/SCI and willingness to take a CI Poly</li> <li>Two (2) years of college in a computer field and four (4) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of relevant education or experience for a total of six (6) years’ experience in the I.T.
