About the Role

<div class="content-intro">   </div><h3>Summary</h3> Production Control II is responsible for coordinating, analyzing, informing, and recording the flow of material through manufacturing departments and communicating the overall health of the program. This position coordinates with all NAT departments to make sure a quality product is delivered on time to the customer.   <h3>Key Duties and Responsibilities:</h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Responsible for the accuracy of the Bill of Material (BOM).</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Works with the Planning department to ensure the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is generating the proper schedule for production control I.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Manages overall project part shortages.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Works with Purchasing and Manufacturing exceptions.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Works with Engineering for drawing releases and design improvements.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Works with the Spares Department for pricing and lead times.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Reviews Material Review Board (MRB) and coordinates with the required departments to resolve the issue.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Confers with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Involved in improving lean product flow.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Informs shipping, store, quality, and program management of project details.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Coach and mentor the Production Control I employees.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Other duties assigned by management.</li> </ul> <h3>Competencies</h3> To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Greenpoint Core Competencies <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and accepts constructive criticism/feedback and changes approach or method to best fit the situation.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Communications - Expresses ideas and thoughts effectively in verbal and written form, exhibits good listening and comprehension, keeps others informed, and uses appropriate communication methods.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Dependability - Responds to requests for service and assistance, follows instruction and responds to management direction, takes responsibility for own actions and doing the best job possible, keeps commitments, and maintains reliable attendance.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Initiative - Sets and achieves challenging goals, demonstrates persistence, and overcomes obstacles, measures self against standard of excellence, recognizes and acts on opportunities, and takes calculated risks to accomplish goals.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities, exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views, gives and welcomes feedback, contributes to building a positive team spirit, and puts success of team above own interests.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Work Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, displays commitment to excellence, looks for ways to improve and promote quality, applies feedback to improve performance, and monitors own work to ensure quality.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Safety – You observe safety and security procedures, you determine appropriate action beyond guidelines, you use equipment and materials properly, and you report potentially unsafe conditions.</li> </ul> <h3>Summary of Education, Experience & Certification</h3> Minimum of two years relevant experience in an aerospace production environment.  Vocational and technical schooling preferred. This safety-sensitive position is covered by the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Any applicant selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment drug testing. Persons occupying a "safety-sensitive” position will be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing. Post-accident, reasonable cause, and return-to-duty tests may also be required based on specific circumstances.  US Citizen Required - this position is located at a facility that requires special access.  <h3>Skills/Abilities</h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to communicate well with others, both verbally and in written format</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Proven ability to troubleshooting/problem solve.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to prioritize, multi-task effectively, and work under pressure.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Self-starter</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Possess a technical aptitude.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to communicate constructive feedback.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Able to perform basic mathematic calculations.</li> </ul> <h3>Working Conditions:</h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Primarily office work- approximately 90%</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Manufacturing work- approximately 10%</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Protracted hours may be required.</li> </ul> <h3>Physical Requirements:</h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for safe conduct on the manufacturing floor and to meet job responsibilities.</li> </ul> Safran is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
