Selkirk applies first-principles thinking to design scalable, process-driven systems that create lasting operational advantage.</p></div><div> <p>This role has two main scopes of work:</p> <p>The Academy Coaching supports the execution of Selkirk Academy camps and assists with PCI Instructor Certification Courses as needed. This role focuses on executing our curriculum, coaching guests effectively, and contributing to a professional, high-quality camp environment.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>The Technical Brand Representative will represent the brand at marketing related events (launches, community building, clinics etc.).&nbsp; This role focuses on being the subject matter expert of our product range and sharing knowledge of our products and coaching methods.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <h4><strong>Academy Coaching</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Lead Selkirk Academy camps in alignment with the established curriculum</li> <li>Deliver a structured, engaging, and high-quality experience for all guests</li> <li>Maintain a professional presence and represent Selkirk at the highest standard</li> <li>Lead PCI Instructor Certification Courses as assigned</li> <li>Ensure curriculum integrity and instructional excellence</li> <li>Supervise and support Academy Coaches and Assistants</li> <li>Provide clear direction during camp activities and ensure smooth operations</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Technical Brand Representation</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Educate players on paddles, gear, apparel, and equipment technologies</li> <li>Serve as an on-site ambassador for academy partner brands</li> <li>Conduct paddle demos, product testing sessions, and equipment recommendations</li> <li>Assist with retail sales support and customer product consultations</li> <li>Gather player feedback and market insights for partner brands</li> <li>Represent the academy and brand partners at tournaments, expos, and community events</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Marketing &amp; Communication</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Contribute to social media content, including drills, tips, and event highlights</li> <li>Participate in promotional campaigns and academy activations</li> <li>Help grow the academy/sport community through outreach and relationship building</li> <li>Maintain a professional and approachable personal brand within the pickleball community</li> <li>Provide monthly activity and progress updates</li> <li>Share player and community feedback on products and programs</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Required:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Strong pickleball playing and coaching background</li> <li>PPR, IPTPA, or equivalent coaching certification preferred</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Passion for pickleball equipment and product technology</li> <li>Comfortable engaging with players, customers, and event participants</li> <li>Ability to work on a flexible schedule (depending on our upfront events calendar)</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Social media confidence is a plus</li> <li>Retail, coaching, or sports brand experience preferred</li> </ul> </div> <p><br><br></p>
