Join Coupang&nbsp;now to create an epic experience in this always-on, high-tech, and hyper-&nbsp;connected world.</p> <p class="p1">The Role and Responsibility</p> <p class="p1">Taiwan engineering is a dedicated engineering org for Coupang core business in&nbsp;Taiwan. Coupang started the business in Taiwan from 2022 and the business is&nbsp;growing fast, and we see many opportunities there. The team has end-to-end&nbsp;ownership of Taiwan systems, and we are working with Taiwan business&nbsp;stakeholders, product team very closely to wow the customers and scale the&nbsp;business. We will record another history of Coupang in Taiwan. We develop and <span class="s1">maintain scalable and sustainable </span>platforms to empower our business, including&nbsp;but not limited to Search Advertising Platform, Affiliate Platform, Display&nbsp;targeting &amp; re-targeting Platform, CRM, Audience Platform, Push Marketing&nbsp;Platform, and other core marketing services for landing, tracking, personalization&nbsp;&amp; attribution. We leverage big data, NoSQL, analytics, real-time processing and&nbsp;Machine Learning to build mission-critical and highly scalable services that are&nbsp;reliable 24/7.</p> <p class="p2">Affiliate platform is a product that can help publishers monetize their traffic by&nbsp;showing Coupang products as ads. We build multiple powerful tools to onboard&nbsp;partners to our affiliate program, including a creative creation and sharing tool, an&nbsp;AI-based recommendation engine, and a flexible commission settlement/payment&nbsp;system.</p> <p class="p2">- Architect, design and build scalable systems that will have a direct impact on&nbsp;customer acquisition, experience, conversion and retention</p> <p class="p1">- Develop close relationships with Product and tech team in China and Korea</p> <p class="p2">- Establish and execute short and long-term architectural roadmaps for the&nbsp;business</p> <p class="p2">- Drive continuous improvement to the efficiency and flexibility of the platform&nbsp;and services while keeping high bar for customer trust, performance and&nbsp;availability</p> <p class="p1">Basic Requirements:</p> <p class="p1">- Bachelor/Master/PhD in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent&nbsp;fields</p> <p class="p1">-10+ years of industry experience of increasing responsibility leading a group&nbsp;of engineers, 5+ years of experience in software development in large&nbsp;distributed systems, web services and Java capability</p> <p class="p1">-&nbsp;Experience in designing and implementing high-concurrency, high-availability,&nbsp;and high-scalability systems;</p> <p class="p1">- Familiar with distributed system architecture, microservice architecture and&nbsp;design, and message queue, cache, database etc core backend knowledge</p> <p class="p1">- Growth mindset, company-wide perspective. Focus on business problem&nbsp;solving, and data-driven</p> <p class="p1">- Strong competency in delivering results in an environment of rapidly changing&nbsp;requirements with appropriate trade-offs</p> <p class="p1">- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and dive deep</p> <p class="p1">- Experience working closely with global distributed teams</p> <p class="p1">Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p class="p1">- Prior experience in eCommerce industry</p> <p class="p1">- Experience working in tier-0 systems, distributed systems</p> <p class="p1">- Fluent English communication</p> <p class="p2">- Experience in advertising systems (such as DSP, RTB, attribution) and alliance&nbsp;systems (such as CPS, CPA, channel management) is a big plus</p>
