<div class="content-intro"><p><strong>Who We Are</strong></p> <p>At Old Second, you're first!&nbsp; &nbsp;For more than 150 years, Old Second has consistently put businesses and individuals throughout the Chicago area first, and we're only getting started.</p> <p>With great employees we've grown from a single location in the back of a general store to 50 locations and over $6 billion dollars in assets.&nbsp; At Old Second we embrace values that foster an environment of community and growth.&nbsp; Recently, we've been voted a Forbes Best-In-State Bank for Illinois by our customers.&nbsp; Be a part of something big as we continue our growth story together!</p></div><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: rgb(22, 145, 121);">Launch your career with Old Second, where you'll grow your banking knowledge and build skills that move your career forward.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p> <p>The&nbsp;<strong>Teller</strong> role is responsible for front line customer service, processing customer banking transactions, balancing a cash drawer, and providing qualified referrals to Retail Banking.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Essential Job Functions</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provides quality, personalized customer service (greeting/closing, uses customer name, telephone etiquette, error resolutions, and written communications).&nbsp; Meets or exceeds established customer service expectations including manager observations.</li> <li>Processes checking and savings deposits/withdrawals by adhering to policies and procedures including ensuring proper endorsements, negotiability of item, validity of identification, and availability of funds.</li> <li>Processes various types of payments and orders according to policy and procedure including loan payments, real estate tax payments, money orders, and cashier’s checks.</li> <li>Counts, proves, and packages currency according to policy and procedure.&nbsp; Balances cash drawer and researches all teller differences within the specified timeframe.&nbsp;</li> <li>Effectively uses technology in order to accurately complete customer transactions.</li> <li>Participates actively in the branches efforts to reach assigned sales referral goals through meeting assigned individual goals.</li> <li>Participates in required in-house training sessions relating to sales, customer services, policies and procedures, compliance, product knowledge and Bank systems.</li> <li>Maintains flexibility to float to other branches and/or work dynamic schedules needed.&nbsp; Availability to work during branch hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm and Saturday, 8am-12pm. &nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent; and</li> <li>Six months of related experience (cash handling, customer service, office, etc.)</li> <li>Must work onsite to perform responsibilities of this position.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Competencies:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong customer service orientation with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences.</li> <li>Professional and clear communication skills, both verbal and written.</li> <li>Proficient in cash handling and transaction accuracy.</li> <li>Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision and quality.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred, but not required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>In-depth customer service, cash handling, and sales experience strongly preferred.</li> <li>Experience resolving customer service issues and providing exceptional customer service.</li> <li>Prior experience balancing a cash drawer.</li> <li>Prior experience in banking.</li> </ul> <hr> <p><strong>Compensation &amp; Benefits</strong></p> <p><strong>Base pay:</strong>&nbsp; $16.84 - $20.65/hour.&nbsp; Old Second is committed to fair and equitable pay practices.&nbsp; Pay is dependent upon the pay range and the incumbent’s knowledge, skills and experience.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Variable pay:&nbsp; </strong>Eligible to participate in the Retail Incentive Plan.&nbsp; Payment varies based upon sales referral activities.</p> <p><strong>Benefits:&nbsp; </strong><a href="https://www.oldsecond.com/resources-services/how-we-support-you/">How We Support You - Old Second</a></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Thanks for considering Old Second!&nbsp;&nbsp;</p></div>
