From overseeing route surveys with cutting-edge technologies like photogrammetry, lidar (mobile, aerial, UAS and terrestrial), and advanced mapping techniques, to managing right-of-way maps, construction surveys, and state land surveying services, your leadership will help shape the future. Collaborating with dynamic, cross-functional teams, you’ll craft detailed, high-quality deliverables that meet and exceed expectations. Your role goes beyond project leadership—you’ll build lasting client partnerships, foster growth opportunities, and secure repeat business with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and local municipalities. What You Will Do: <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"> Project Leadership <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Assist in management of projects related to surveying for transportation infrastructure.</li> </ul> <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Prepares scopes of work and estimates for survey and mapping projects, including review of manhour estimates to ensure compliance against budgeted hours</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Provides technical expertise and leadership in the project definition and planning phases.</li> </ul> <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Participate in scoping meetings with clients to determine project needs and requirements</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Coordinate planning, scheduling, and data development processes.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Collaborate with senior management to resolve schedule and budget challenges as they arise and implement corrective action plans when deviations from budgets and/or schedules are evident. </li> </ul> <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Keeps accurate notes, records, and meeting minutes to document workflow procedures and client standards.</li> </ul> Team Collaboration <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Analyze project resource needs and work with internal survey, photogrammetry and lidar teams to create detailed scopes, budgets and schedules for projects.</li> </ul> <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Responsible for advancement of project quality control and quality assurance processes, including updating project status documentation as deliverables are completed.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Works with team leaders to perform project assignments, drive resource planning, and assist in development of skills of other personnel.</li> </ul> <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Collaborate with survey, photogrammetry and lidar teams to deliver detailed and accurate project deliverables.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Provide oversight, reporting, and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.</li> </ul> Technical Expertise <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Performs QA/QC for difficult or complex boundary surveys and provides documented feedback for production staff to implement in future deliverables.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Review and perform quality control of final AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley Open Roads Designer mapping deliverables, often derived from multiple technologies.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Assists with the preparation of roadway right-of-way plans and conducts QA/QC of right-of-way plans.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Prepares or reviews survey reports and legal descriptions.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Performs research and interpretation of government files, utilities, and public records documents.</li> </ul> <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Assist in management and execution of various types of surveys using conventional and advanced technologies (photogrammetry, lidar)</li> </ul> Client Relationship Management <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Contribute to the growth of the organization by identifying opportunities for client expansion including State DOTs, transit authorities, cities and/or counties within Ohio.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Acts as technical expertise and representative of the firm at various functions, as needed</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Foster repeat business by ensuring client satisfaction and delivering quality projects.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Develop and improve strategies to increase engagement with Ohio DOT and other stakeholders.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> What You Will Bring: <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"> Licensure/Certification <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">LSIT Certification required, Ohio PLS a plus.</li> </ul> Experience and Proficiency <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">10+ years in the Survey/Geospatial industry.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">3+ years managing survey/geospatial transportation tasks.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Bachelor's Degree required</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">ODOT project experience preferred.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Proficient in surveying techniques and geospatial technologies (e.g., lidar, photogrammetry).</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Working knowledge of industry-standard software (e.g., MicroStation ORD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center).</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;
