We’re an ambitious, collaborative team of builders, founded by veterans of Meta PyTorch and Google Vertex AI.</p></div><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a hands-on, high-ownership Senior Accountant to help build and scale our accounting foundation. This role is ideal for a candidate with ~5 years of experience, preferably a recent Senior from Big 4, who is looking to transition into an operating role and take ownership of core accounting processes.</p> <p>You will play a critical role in establishing scalable processes, supporting financial reporting, and partnering cross-functionally as the company grows. This position requires someone who is comfortable working in ambiguity, moves quickly, and is excited to build from the ground up.</p> <p>We are also looking for someone who is interested in leveraging automation and AI tools to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and enhance the accuracy of financial processes.</p> <p>This role reports to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting.</p> <p><strong>In This Role, You Will</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own key areas of the month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.</li> <li>Lead PBC requests associated with Direct and Indirect tax</li> <li>Build and improve accounting processes, documentation, and controls in a fast-evolving environment.</li> <li>&nbsp;Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.</li> <li>Manage accounting for key areas such as prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and cash.</li> <li>Support financial reporting, including preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.</li> <li>Partner cross-functionally (FP&amp;A, Operations, Legal, Tax) to ensure accurate and timely financial data.</li> <li>Assist with external audits, including preparing PBCs and responding to auditor requests.</li> <li>Identify process gaps and drive automation and efficiency improvements using tools such as Excel, scripts, and AI-assisted workflows.</li> <li>Leverage AI tools to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance reporting insights.</li> <li>Support implementation and optimization of accounting systems and tools.</li> <li>Take on ad hoc projects and special initiatives as the business scales.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>~5 years of experience in accounting or audit; Big 4 experience strongly preferred.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.</li> <li>Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.</li> <li>Ability to take ownership and work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.</li> <li>Hands-on mindset with willingness to execute.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.</li> <li>Experience with Excel; familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).</li> <li>Interest in or experience with automation, data tools, or AI-driven workflows is a strong plus.</li> <li>Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in a high-growth startup or tech environment.</li> <li>Exposure to system implementations, process automation, or data analytics.</li> <li>Experience supporting audits.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>Total compensation for this role also includes meaningful equity in a fast-growing startup, along with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Base salary is determined by a range of factors including individual qualifications, experience, skills, interview performance, market data, and work location.
