The Underwriter will work with agent, broker clients, and internal teams to underwrite profitable business consisting of renewal commercial P&C insurance within authority level. The Renewal Underwriter works a hybrid schedule in the Houston, TX Office. <ul> <li>Determine the acceptability, quality and profitability of existing business based on company underwriting guidelines and objectives within authority level.</li> <li>Collect, maintain and analyze data in order to make informed underwriting decisions.</li> <li>Manage assigned territory so that items such as renewals, endorsements, claim reviews and related transactions are completed accurately within accepted corporate time frames.</li> <li>Treats all inquiries on a professional basis, providing timely, courteous and efficient customer service to agents, policyholders, team members and other departments</li> <li>Make recommendations to Senior Underwriter or Supervisor on selected risks beyond assigned authority level.</li> <li>Address assigned workload within quality, productivity and service standards as established by the company underwriting guidelines.</li> <li>Meet regularly with the broker/underwriting teams on strategy and follow-up.</li> </ul> Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.</li> <li>Minimum of 3 years of work-related experience in P&C renewal underwriting process</li> <li>Participate in company organized, prescribed or designated insurance seminars and workshops on or off premises.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion">Want the opportunity to build something new?
