We act as partners, aligning support strategies to achieve Jencap’s broader objectives.  We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This position is ideal for an organized individual who can work independently take on increasing responsibilities within the group. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls. The Staff Accountant (GL) will work a hybrid schedule from our Worcester, MA office. Responsibilities:  <ul> <li>Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.</li> <li>Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers across several divisions & different agency management systems</li> <li>Reconciliations for multiple cash accounts for different bank accounts</li> <li>Assisting in monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statement preparation</li> <li>Help with documenting accounting processes and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls</li> </ul> Requirements:  <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 1-2 years of experience in public accounting highly desirable</li> <li>2+ years of progressive accounting experience.</li> <li>Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.</li> <li>Attention to detail, and organizational skills.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.</li> </ul> The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
