We promote from within and invest in your future.<br><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Work-Life Balance:&nbsp;</strong>Enjoy mostly Monday–Friday shifts and yes, you’ll usually have Christmas off to spend with loved ones!</span></p> <p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p> <p>Assist the Head Chef in preparing, delivering, and presenting all food and beverages, aiming for the highest level of client service within budget.</p> <p><strong>Food Preparation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure prompt service of all meals and services at required times, meeting company standards and delegate satisfaction.</li> <li>Under the Head Chef's instruction, prepare and present food for restaurant consumption and be available during service periods.</li> <li>Ensure preparation and presentation methods comply with current recognized catering standards, under the Head Chef's guidance.</li> <li>Prepare and assist at special functions, which may fall outside normal working hours.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Operational and Customer Service</strong></p> <ul> <li>Attend daily menu briefings.</li> <li>Promptly respond to client requests and comments, reporting them to the Head Chef.</li> <li>Assist the Head Chef with serving at hot counters, ensuring catering standards are met, operations run in accordance with the booking schedule, and all client requirements are met and exceeded.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Financial</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work alongside the front-of-house team to ensure an effective stock rotation system within the department.</li> <li>Accurately record wastage and, under the Head Chef's guidance, take appropriate steps to minimize it.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Health &amp; Safety</strong></p> <ul> <li>Adhere to all venue and statutory regulations pertaining to health, safety, and fire at all times.</li> <li>Maintain a standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with venue and statutory regulations.</li> <li>Wear the correct standard of dress or uniform at all times.</li> <li>Adhere to company and statutory regulations pertaining to safety and hygiene operations of the kitchen and ancillary areas at all times.</li> <li>Immediately report any defective and hazardous equipment to the Head Chef.</li> <li>Ensure stores and other areas of potential loss are secured at all times.</li> <li>Immediately report any loss to the General Manager.</li> <li>Adhere to all regulations pertaining to COSHH and HACCP at all times.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Carry out any reasonable management requests, including duties normally undertaken by the Chef de Partie in their absence.</li> <li>Build good working relationships with all other areas of the venue team.</li> <li>Support the venue team, including assisting with client events that may fall outside of normal working hours and weekends.</li> <li>Attend any company events as requested.</li> </ul> <p><strong>We’re Here For You:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Training &amp; development</p> </li> <li> <p>Competitive rate + holiday pay&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Flexibility to choose your shifts&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Family lunch - healthy, nourishing food</p> </li> <li> <p>A chance to be part of a dynamic, growing team</p> </li> <li> <p>The opportunity to have a significant impact on your team and the business in the work that you do</p> </li> <li> <p>A culture of GRIT (Genuine, Relentless, Integrity and Teamwork)</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Who We Are:</strong></p> <p>Convene is a global hospitality company that manages a growing portfolio of lifestyle brands focused on revolutionizing the way people meet, work, and gather.&nbsp; It creates hospitality-driven experiences and uniquely designed destinations across its various brands with the singular mission of fostering human-to-human connection.
