This ensures projects are delivered at peak performance on Day One of operations, and are equipped for long-term efficiency and success.</p> <p>We focus the Commissioning process to be the formal framework for delivering low-carbon, high-performance designs that elevate the human experience and deliver real value for building owners by prioritizing operational efficiency, occupant health and resilience.</p> <p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>In this position, you will be supporting commissioning activities for multiple high-profile, national and international Commissioning projects across DLR Group’s core sectors including Workplace, Federal, Education, Hospitality, Healthcare, Justice &amp; Civic, Mixed-Use and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.dlrgroup.com/work/">more</a>. You will work with these integrated design teams of Architects, Engineers and specialty designers, providing commissioning expertise</p> <p>As a Commissioning Authority, you will frequently travel to job sites to perform construction reviews, functional testing, and building performance diagnostics. Expect to be traveling approximately 30–50% of your time in a typical month. In this role there is potential for rapid growth opportunities as we expand our Smart Buildings team.</p> <p><strong>The successful candidate will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review design and construction documents for compliance with Owner’s Project Requirements and Basis of Design</li> <li>Develop commissioning plans, specifications, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance tests.</li> <li>Perform site inspections and functional testing to verify system installation and operations</li> <li>Collaborate with contractors, owners, occupants, and operators to identify improvements on building operations.</li> <li>Identify, track, and resolve issues impacting system performance.</li> <li>Provide feedback to design teams to ensure optimal design strategies.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;<strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>+7 years of hands-on experience in commissioning building systems</li> <li>Strong knowledge of the building design and construction industry, with familiarity in the commissioning process for new construction, major renovations, and existing buildings</li> <li>Understanding of energy use, indoor environmental quality, operations, and maintenance in building commissioning</li> <li>Familiarity with MEP and building automation systems, with the ability to evaluate and test system performance</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong organizational and computer skills.</li> <li>Possess a sense of self-direction and the ability to manage your own time.</li> <li>Must be able to climb structures and inspect equipment both at high altitudes and in confined spaces</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Commissioning certification from a recognized body (ACG, BCA, or ASHRAE)</li> <li>Licensed Professional Engineer or Trade Worker</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>Our comprehensive Benefits at DLR Group include medical, dental, vision, disability, wellness programs, flex spending, paid holidays, and paid time off.
