The Commissioning process is central to our approach, ensuring quality and consistency throughout design and construction.</p> <p>Our certified Commissioning Authorities, Energy Management experts and Professional Engineers combine <strong>design</strong> phase expertise with hands-on <strong>functional testing</strong> and advanced <strong>operational performance analytics</strong>. This ensures projects are delivered at peak performance on Day One of operations, and are equipped for long-term efficiency and success.</p> <p>We focus the Commissioning process to be the formal framework for delivering low-carbon, high-performance designs that elevate the human experience and deliver real value for building owners by prioritizing operational efficiency, occupant health and resilience.</p> <p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>In this position, you will be the Project Manager for multiple high-profile, national and international Commissioning projects across DLR Group’s core sectors including Workplace, Federal, Education, Hospitality, Healthcare, Justice &amp; Civic, Mixed-Use and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.dlrgroup.com/work/">more</a>. You will manage a commissioning team and work with these integrated design teams of Architects, Engineers and specialty designers, providing commissioning expertise</p> <p>As a Senior Commissioning Authority, you will manage multiple projects at a time, perform thorough design and construction reviews, conduct commissioning meetings, and oversee functional testing. Expect to be traveling approximately 10–30% of your time in a typical month. In this role there is potential for rapid growth opportunities as we expand our Smart Buildings team.</p> <p><strong>The successful candidate will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead commissioning activities across all phases of the project with multiple trades and client management</li> <li>Review design and construction documents for compliance with Owner’s Project Requirements and Basis of Design</li> <li>Oversee the implementation of commissioning plans, specifications, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance tests.</li> <li>Provide subject matter expertise regarding that impact system performance.</li> <li>Collaborate with the leadership team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.</li> <li>Meet with potential clients, develop relationships, and present the value of our commissioning services.</li> <li>Mentor and train junior staff, helping to build a capable and cohesive commissioning team.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;<strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>+15 years of hands-on experience in commissioning building systems</li> <li>Strong knowledge of the building design and construction industry, with expertise in the commissioning process for new construction, major renovations, and existing buildings</li> <li>In-depth understanding of energy use, indoor environmental quality, operations, and maintenance in building commissioning</li> <li>Technical expertise in MEP and building automation systems, with the ability to evaluate and test system performance</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong organizational and computer skills</li> <li>Commissioning certification from a recognized body (ACG, BCA, or ASHRAE)</li> <li>Possess a sense of self-direction and the ability to manage your own time and aid others to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Licensed Professional Engineer</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.</li> <li>Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, SkySpark as a Connected-Commissioning/Monitoring-based Commissioning tool is a plus.&nbsp;</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>Our comprehensive Benefits at DLR Group include medical, dental, vision, disability, wellness programs, flex spending, paid holidays, and paid time off.
