By combining evidence-based care with powerful technology, we’re expanding access to high-quality services for families everywhere.</p> <p><strong><br></strong><strong>Our Mission</strong></p> <p>Frontera exists to close the care gap: every child, no matter where they live, should be able to access effective behavioral healthcare.<strong><br><br></strong></p></div><p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a passionate and experienced <strong>Engineering Lead</strong> to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in building our Integrations Platform. As an Engineering Lead, you will own the systems that connect our platform with external partners, data sources, and internal services - enabling seamless, secure, and scalable data exchange.</p> <p>You will lead the design and development of integration architecture, including robust APIs, data pipelines, and partner integrations, while helping guide technical direction in collaboration with senior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.</p> <p data-start="648" data-end="1019">This is a backend-leaning, highly hands-on technical leadership role, <strong>where you’ll spend approximately 80% of your time building and 20% driving technical leadership, coordination, and mentorship across the engineering team</strong>. You’ll help shape architecture decisions, unblock execution, and establish engineering best practices while remaining deeply embedded in the code.</p> <p data-start="1021" data-end="1217">We’re looking for someone who is excited about technical leadership today and interested in potentially growing into formal people management responsibilities over time as the organization scales.</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Integrations &amp; Platform Ownership:</strong><strong><br></strong>Lead the design and development of our integrations platform, including APIs, data pipelines, and third-party system integrations (e.g., EHRs, partner systems, internal services).</li> <li><strong>Technical Leadership:</strong><strong><br></strong>Drive the architecture and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable integration systems. Establish best practices for API design, data modeling, and system interoperability.</li> <li><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</strong><strong><br></strong>Partner closely with product, design, operations, and external stakeholders to translate integration requirements into technical solutions. Collaborate across US and India-based engineering teams to ensure alignment and execution.</li> <li><strong>System Reliability &amp; Performance:</strong><strong><br></strong>Own the performance, monitoring, and reliability of integration systems. Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and failure points.</li> <li><strong>User &amp; Partner Experience:</strong><strong><br></strong>Improve the experience for both internal teams and external partners by building intuitive, well-documented, and reliable integration workflows and tooling.</li> <li><strong>Architecture &amp; Development:</strong><strong><br></strong>Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while setting standards for the team. Contribute directly to critical parts of the system.</li> <li><strong>Mentorship &amp; Team Development:</strong><strong><br></strong>Support and mentor engineers through technical guidance, collaboration, and code reviews while helping foster a high-performing engineering culture. There is potential for this role to evolve into formal engineering management responsibilities over time as the team grows.</li> <li><strong>Continuous Improvement:</strong><strong><br></strong>Stay current with best practices in distributed systems, APIs, and data integration.
