In this role, you will be responsible for performing deep-dive energy audits, identifying energy conservation measures (ECMs), and developing the detailed designs required to bring those projects to life. You will balance technical rigor with financial savvy to ensure every project is both physically viable and economically sound.</p> <p><strong>Principal Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p><strong>(Management may amend or assign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct comprehensive onsite energy audits to&nbsp;identify&nbsp;inefficiencies in HVAC, lighting, compressed air, steam, and building envelope systems.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop detailed engineering designs, including equipment specifications, layouts, and control sequences for energy retrofits.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain guidelines for field auditing,&nbsp;project design, product qualification, and implementation&nbsp;to&nbsp;comply with&nbsp;program and client needs for the&nbsp;internal&nbsp;Development and Implementation teams to follow.&nbsp;</li> <li>Identify&nbsp;and incorporate utility rebates, federal tax credits (e.g., 179D), and state-level grants into the&nbsp;project&nbsp;design and budget.&nbsp;</li> <li>Evaluate site conditions of commercial and industrial properties&nbsp;pertaining to&nbsp;all existing mechanical systems for compliance with NYC local laws and regulations.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>LL84, LL88, LL97, NYCECC 2025, ASHRAE 90.1&nbsp;</li> <li>Coordinate with external engineering firms to&nbsp;establish&nbsp;compliance walks, get sign off on energy savings data, and&nbsp;stamp documentation around NYC local laws or similar.&nbsp;</li> <li>All other duties and projects as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in&nbsp;Mechanical, Electrical, or&nbsp;Energy Engineering&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>5–10&nbsp;years in energy consulting, ESCO services, or facility engineering with a focus on project development.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Capabilities in AutoCAD/Revit&nbsp;or similar&nbsp;design&nbsp;systems.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Deep knowledge of&nbsp;HVAC systems, HVAC controls,&nbsp;BMS Systems,&nbsp;Motors, and VFD’s.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Certifications: PE (Professional Engineer),&nbsp;CEM (Certified Energy Manager),&nbsp;CBCP&nbsp;(Certified Building Commissioning Professional), or&nbsp;CEA(Certified Energy Auditor)&nbsp;are&nbsp;preferred.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of&nbsp;energy codes, utility incentive programs, and emissions reporting.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Supervisory Responsibility:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>This position has supervisory responsibility.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Expected Hours of Work:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>An Employee is expected to work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week. Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws, while exempt employees may be required to work additional hours as necessary to fulfill their job responsibilities. Overtime requirements will be determined based on the operational needs of the organization. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining an employee’s base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity). Brightcore also offers a comprehensive set of benefits to compliment the base salary. The base annual salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000 and is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.</p> <p><strong>Travel Requirements:&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Travel may be required up to 70% to work/project sites in the greater Northeast Region (but not limited to) of the United States.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work site
