This role is responsible for leading onsite installation activities related to fire sprinkler systems, including piping layout, installation, and system components in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.</p> <p>The Foreman ensures all work is performed safely, accurately, and efficiently while meeting Piper Fire Protection quality standards and project schedules.&nbsp;The ideal candidate is task‑oriented, team‑focused, and possesses strong communication skills, both written and verbal. This position plays a key leadership role in coordinating field efforts, mentoring team members, and maintaining professionalism with both internal teams and external customers.</p> </div> <p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p></p> <div> <ul> <li>Lead the installation of fire sprinkler systems, including overhead and underground piping, valves, hangers, and related components.</li> <li>Coordinate field activities with other trades and ensure proper sequencing of work on construction projects.</li> <li>Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and hydraulic calculations to ensure accurate installation and compliance with project requirements.</li> <li>Supervise field crews, assign daily tasks, and ensure labor, materials, and equipment are available and used efficiently.</li> <li>Oversee layout and installation of sprinkler systems per NFPA standards and local code requirements.</li> <li>Train, mentor, and develop Fitters and Helpers to meet Piper Fire Protection standards for safety, quality, and productivity.</li> <li>Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Designers, General Contractors, and other stakeholders.</li> <li>Identify field changes, conflicts, or scope gaps; collaborate with Project Managers to support change orders and project adjustments.</li> <li>Perform quality control checks and inspections to ensure installations meet company standards and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Maintain accurate job documentation, including daily reports and as-built drawings.</li> <li>Promote and enforce jobsite safety practices in compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.</li> <li>Stay current on industry standards, code updates, and best practices through training and professional development.</li> </ul> </div> <p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong></strong></p> <div> <ul> <li>3–5 years of demonstrated experience in fire sprinkler system installation, including hands-on field work and foreman or lead-level responsibilities.</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems.</li> <li>Thorough understanding of NFPA standards (particularly NFPA 13, 14, and 24) and applicable local codes.</li> <li>Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.</li> <li>Experience coordinating crews and managing daily construction activities.</li> <li>Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.</li> <li>Ability to identify field issues and contribute to practical solutions and change order processes.</li> <li>Commitment to high standards of safety, workmanship, and professionalism.</li> <li>NICET certification (Water-Based Systems) or equivalent preferred.</li> <li>Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.</li> </ul> </div><div class="content-conclusion"><p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><em>This role may require extended periods of sitting or standing, movement around the office or job site, and operation of standard equipment.
