This role will be responsible for all technical aspects of servicing and maintenance of commercial security systems that includes low voltage security alarm, video surveillance, networking, and access control systems.</p> <p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <div> <ul> <li>Provide technical support to both internal teams and external customers in a professional and timely manner</li> <li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to CCTV systems, access control, card readers, locking hardware, and associated server/software programming</li> <li>Accurately complete service documentation and work orders using the company’s electronic CRM system</li> <li>Manage and follow assigned service schedules using a company-issued mobile device, in coordination with the Service Coordinator/Manager</li> <li>Deliver high-quality customer service, including system training and support as needed</li> <li>Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry technologies and best practices</li> <li>Maintain accurate inventory records and manage parts and materials effectively</li> <li>Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all applicable laws and company policies</li> <li>Participate in an on-call rotation and work overtime as required to support business needs</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned to support team and organizational objectives</li> </ul> </div> <p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications</strong></p> <div> <ul> <li>Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in servicing, troubleshooting, installation, and programming of commercial access control systems, intrusion alarm systems, and/or IP-based camera systems</li> <li>Working knowledge and experience with one or more of the following manufacturers and platforms is preferred: Bosch, Bluebox, Brivo, Eagle Eye, Exacq, S2, and Schlage Engage</li> <li>Solid understanding of basic computer networking concepts, hardware, and system diagnostics, with the ability to quickly learn new software applications and technologies</li> <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) issued by the State of Illinois</li> <li>Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including holding a valid driver's license and maintaining an acceptable motor vehicle record.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li> <li>Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences</li> </ul> </div><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p></p> <p><em>This pay range reflects the compensation rate Fortis Fire &amp; Safety reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting.
