We aren't looking for a theorist; we need a high-octane strategic sourcing professional in Shenzhen to be the "boots on the ground" catalyst within our global cross-functional team (ESG, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance). This is not a theoretical role. You are the bridge between 'Design for Sustainability' and 'Execution for Profitability' in our most critical manufacturing hub. You will provide the field intelligence necessary to design viable replenishment models and own the end-to-end sourcing implementation in Asia, ensuring our repairability programs are scalable, compliant, and cost-effective. Key Responsibilities <ol> <li> Operating Model design & Field intelligence</li> </ol> <ul> <li>Regional Lead: Act as the primary Asia Supply Chain representative on the Global Repairability Task Force. Translate high-level ESG goals into actionable sourcing strategies.</li> <li>Supply Chain Architecture: Provide "reality checks" for replenishment models (e.g., Make-to-Stock vs. Make-to-Order, traditional vs. additive manufacturing) based on regional Tier-1 and Tier-2 constraints.</li> <li>Cost & Logistics Modeling: Conduct "Total Landed Cost" analysis, factoring in export licenses, tariff engineering, and international trade hurdles to ensure financial viability.</li> <li>Lifecycle Insights: Define operational guardrails for spare parts, including Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs), shelf-life management, and end-of-life (EOL) component availability.</li> </ul> <ol> <li> Sourcing Implementation & Supplier Management</li> </ol> <ul> <li>Replenishment Path Design: Architect the sourcing logic for repair parts from the ground up. You will determine the optimal route (OEM, Tier 2, or aftermarket specialists), balancing high-mix, low-volume agility with minimal lead times, IP security, and supply continuity.</li> <li>Pilot-to-Scale Execution: Lead the initial sourcing phase for Shark and Ninja pilot programs, documenting a "playbook" for global expansion across the US and European markets.</li> <li>Inventory Optimization: Partner with global planning teams to implement the Asian leg of the replenishment process, balancing maximum coverage with minimal obsolescence waste.</li> </ul> Qualifications & Competencies Experience <ul> <li>Industry Tenure: 8+ years in Strategic Sourcing, Global Supply Chain, or Operations, specifically within Consumer Electronics or Small Domestic Appliances.</li> <li>Aftermarket Expertise: Proven track record in managing spare parts or aftermarket sourcing programs for a global brand.</li> <li>Regional Knowledge: Deep expertise in the China supplier landscape; experience in South East Asia (SEA) expansion is highly preferred.</li> </ul> Technical & Analytical Skills <ul> <li>Financial modeling: Advanced ability to model scenarios to drive data-led decision-making, e.g., "Make vs. Buy", landed costs, inventory coverage</li> <li>Trade expertise: Solid understanding of international trade dynamics, including HS code classification, tariff mitigation, and export restrictions.</li> <li>Manufacturing IQ: Familiarity with manufacturing processes to understand how they impact repairability targets and component-level sourcing.</li> </ul> Soft Skills: Driving Results in a Matrix <ul> <li>Navigating Ambiguity: Comfortable structuring solutions from a "white page" and adapting when leadership doesn't have all the answers.</li> <li>Matrix influence: Exceptional ability to communicate complex Chinese manufacturing constraints to Western-centric teams (Engineering, Finance, ESG).</li> <li>Proactive Ownership: Demonstrated resilience in driving cross-functional team members who may have competing priorities. You must be comfortable "overstepping" and asserting leadership to ensure projects stays on schedule.</li> <li>Language: Fluency in English is mandatory for global collaboration; Mandarin is a significant advantage for negotiations or technical discussion with suppliers.</li> <li>Operational flexibility: Ability to balance evening US calls with frequent "boots on the ground" travel (~40%) across China and SEA factory sites.</li> </ul> Why This Role?
